That's why I said you'd have hated Ashley if the situations were reversed.

Your owners were/are shit for you, but Bury fans would have loved them, our owner was shit for us but other teams' fans would have loved him.

Yeah, but I think your indignation is because you haven't fully thought about what I said.

He was no where near as bad as you thought he was. The key problem with your fans is he wasn't willing to throw a tonne of money at the club, you got what you wished for I guess but many struggling to come to terms with the ongoing scrutiny of your owners. This won't go away and likely will only get worse.

I don't even need to post what the comments are to this but I am sure their admin know what they are doing.

Playing to the idiots as usual
Not quite the Messi and Mbappe they were thinking when dancing in the street with tea towels on their head

Are you sure? As I always tell my students - Wiki is not an acceptable reference source.

Wiki was late December to add the Newcastle bit but he's said it in a September interview with a watch website that he watches them. It's also on his LTA association did refer to yesterday but doesn't today and links to an article that doesn't even mention Newcastle and there's also this

Aye he's an interest in the mags (and other teams) but I very much doubt he's a die hard that they may well eventually claim he is

If measuring seconds lost a month is what his dad does at the weekend, what then does Norrie do to relax? Hopefully something a little more relaxed. I can’t imagine he’d want to wind down from tennis by winding up a movement.

“I attempt to surf but I’m not great at it. Otherwise just spending time at the beach, watching Newcastle United or Fulham (where I used to live). I’m reading a lot between tournaments too, there’s not much else you can do with all the travelling in bubbles.” While you might expect his book of choice to be another tennis bio, Norrie seems to want a touch of escapism in his literature – which these days is fair enough. At least he’s gone for a Brit more famous even than Murray.

Mate, you may have missed the last 5 or 6 years of our existence?
Short got us into debt, pulled the plug and we ended-up with ex f***ing Eastleigh owners who bought the club with its own money before trying to flog it to an ex Taxi Driver, at one point.
Ashley is the dream owner, in comparison.

Short had the best of intentions for us. I find it hard to be too harsh on him. We lost 100s of £millions whilst he was here and he basically bankrolled us out of his own pocket to our longest unbroken spell in the top flight since the 1950s. He wanted the best for us no doubt about it. The problem was he didn't have much clue about English football and compounded this by appointing people who also had no idea about football to run the club.

Metro radio described him as a “massive Newcastle fan” this morning

Good info.

He seems a decent lad - just a bit cringey and small time where one of the owners tags him on twitter. Can imagine a non league club doing that but a Prem team. Have LFC owners been reaching out to Paddy the Baddy?

No, what I'm saying is, by having you in the black, you were an attractive propositon to an investment fund. If he'd got you into debt as Shepherd did and as many of you wanted, you wouldn't have been.
The word you’re looking for is undervalued and being in debt (or not) has nothing to do with it

Because the takeover isn’t all you thought is it :lol:

Always thought that prick was a skunk. Really biased when reading the news

Aye he made some bitter comment when we won the other month about needing a penalty to win a game, whilst the mags got a great draw. The use the fcker on Sun FM now to save money. The young lad that tends to interview the general public is a Sunderland fan like.

FCK me. I dont listen to Sun FM, but cannot comprehend how they use such a biased skunk.

I'm tuned in to GNR and curse when the prick talks about football. I always rant to Mrs that he is a jawdee **** and she tells me to calm down!! She says 'how do you know'?

Im going to show her the article in the chronicle about the wedding and tell her to shut the fcuk up in future when I have my rant!!!
