We were in debt though. c£100m of debt to Mike Ashley.

I'm not giving him credit for running us like one of his brands, when any progressive, reasonably ambitious owner could have enjoyed greater returns on and off the pitch. Plus, him acting the **** to fans, managers, players, and club legends doesn't help my opinion of him either.

Were the situations reversed, you would have hated Ashley.
Mate, you may have missed the last 5 or 6 years of our existence?
Short got us into debt, pulled the plug and we ended-up with ex f***ing Eastleigh owners who bought the club with its own money before trying to flog it to an ex Taxi Driver, at one point.
Ashley is the dream owner, in comparison.

I'd say more like defending the owners because some have lumped the new owners into a Saudi state owning Newcastle.

Many countries are bad, including our very own. It's just a case of how people want to compare one thing against another to suit any purpose for which they're arguing. In this case, it's Newcastle United on the agenda.

My support has never altered no matter who was/is in charge.

I don't think too many are normalising anything. Most are simply being a fan and supporting the club.

I'm one of the worst ones because I won't back down from a stance and it irritates a lot of people because those people would like me to apologise for being a Newcastle fan or simply follow their modus operandi. I'll do neither if it doesn't suit my thoughts.
The only people that can shut me down are the mods. Two have done so before, so if they choose to do it again then you don't have to see anything from me.

What I think of countries and their governments varies. Mostly I take little notice of other countries apart from what's shoved into our faces, whether it's deemed good bad, or ugly.
What I like or dislike is not down to you to choose for me but you're welcome to speculate.

Where did you get your info from?
You see there's being ignorant of the truth or lies. We are reliant on media for our info and we all know the media do not always spin out the truth.
I question a lot so don't be shocked if I don't just always accept something as fact without proof or which has lots of questionable issues attached.

Never said they were.

If Sunderland were on the up you'd see Sunderland tops springing out from everywhere that you never noticed before. The nature of the beast.

It's possible but I think Man City may sneak a lucky draw if Haaland's on his game. ;)

The premier league seems satisfied Newcastle is not owned by a state.
Could they be wrong?.... Yes.
Are they wrong?....who knows?
Do you know the facts?

Is it enough for you?

And the same goes for Amanda or Merhdad or the Reubens with the metro.

I got my "info" from a FBI report

That's why I said you'd have hated Ashley if the situations were reversed.

Your owners were/are shit for you, but Bury fans would have loved them, our owner was shit for us but other teams' fans would have loved him.
Are you serious!!??
Yeah, but I think your indignation is because you haven't fully thought about what I said.

Well I’m glad I’m not a student of yours because I get all my knowledge from there 😳
Don't get me wrong it is my goto source for info. It is fantastic and if I could only choose one website in the world I'd choose that....sad I know!

It is back to Newcastle now - just shows mags must be hanging around outraged at it being someone else. His PR team will be telling him to run with this as it is likely to produce more $$$'s than Kilmarnock.

I don't even need to post what the comments are to this but I am sure their admin know what they are doing.

... Don't you get what I mean when I said "If the situations were reversed"?

e.g. for the 14 years prior you were regularly in Europe, getting far in the cups, fielding good players and all that, then the new owner comes in and you're very quickly relegated, rarely progress at all in the cups, he falls out with fans, players, managers and club legends among other things.

Would you think he was a good owner then? Course not, you'd f***ing hate him.

Many years ago, when I taught History, I put Adam Woodyatt was one of the leaders of the Greens in the Russian Revolution into a passage on Wikipedia. One Student copied and pasted it before submitting it.
Was he not? Well no wonder I failed history!

We aren't you. If the situations were reversed God only knows what state your lot would have gotten in.

Course he wasn't man. He was involved with the Whites.
