Or if your owners approved of the murder of a journalist? Or if they were responsible for the death of thousand of children? Being hated by rivals and some people will not change most fans' excitement about where the club looks to be headed as it stands.
What happens later is for later and as any Newcastle United fan of age will tell you, they've seen the good the bad, and the ugly of supporting the club.

The rollercoaster ride is back on.
The excitement is back.
The hope is back.

It can all come crashing down or it can rise up.
The better we do the more hatred will ensue.
The worse we do the more laughs for the rivals.
