I really thought the saudi strip was a wind up.

I just cant believe they have gone with it. Unbelievable.

Thing is the government have forced this through and that is just as frightening.

Again, back to what I was saying before.
Maybe 100,000 shirt sales vs all the negative attention that comes with it? Easier just to not do it. It only adds more fuel to the fire

Why would you dance around with saudi flags, if you were bothered about the atrocities committed in that country. If you are dancing around with a saudi flag, you know what goes on in that country, so, yes, you are celebrating a murderous regime. If someone was waving a nazi flag about ,would you think 'oh, its alright, forget about the holocaust, they are celebrating the Germanys economic recovery'. You wave a flag around knowing what that country is about, and ,quite frankly, a lot of you don't care, as proven by the zero amount of dissent from the saudi franchise fans.

I think it's more plausible to believe that the few who were draping themselves in the Saudi flags, tea towels etc were doing so with the possibilities of an ambitious owner in mind. Ignorant and misguided, sure as shit. But I doubt it's the celebration of the very worst parts of Saudi Arabian culture as has been suggested here

Yip.

We can and we will more like.

But I mentioned earlier about LIV golf players and namely Norman and his we all make mistakes comment. Its brainwashing within sport.

Though I agree they're not really interested in change or in anyone who disagrees with them.

I doubt many on here actually believe your fans are purposely celebrating death and murder. But thats how it may come across to the families of the dead or Khashoggis fiancee. Your fans are just being used to wash away all that now.

Do you think sportswashing works though? KSA getting way more negative attention now than they were before nufc takeover and the golf. It seems to have the opposite effect.

Whats the opinion of a few hundred thousand Newcastle fans worth when the rest of the footballing world doesn't like you?

Agree. And ignorance is only an excuse early on. Anyone still displaying the Saudi flag or defending their actions are either sportswashed to fuck or as thick as a castle wall

Are they really though? Sky are lapping it up, BBC are, TalkSPORT are BT are. The main objectors are on this thread and a few Twitter reporters.

Feels like now it’s blown over almost. People quickly move on.

I also think that rather than hate, it’s more a mockery of Newcastle fans and their general stupidity.

You do know loads of your fans have been saying khashoggi deserved it, he was a terrorist, the 81 executed deserve it, they are terrorists. Have you seen the lass converting to Islam, wraith having tea with the saudi bloke in full saudi dress etc.etc.Have you seen how many likes or whatever its called on the madhouse that is twitter, that these people get. All whilst knowing what goes on in saudi arabia. Whether they are doing it just to stick their fingers up at us 'deluded ' mackems , matters not to me. So, aye ,when you are purposely celebrating the Saudis way of life, you are celebrating the murders, genocide, marrying 11 year olds, killing of gays etc.

Nobody rewrites history like Newcastle fans. Gave him dogs abuse and hounded him out of the club, soon as he was dying they all loved him. Deluded world of RTG twitter is a fat virgin.
