Don’t feed the troll.I answered that a year ago when I asked for him to be sacked. My answer would be Alan Walker and Gidman, nothing has changed my mind on that yet. Very much doubt Collingwood would fancy it, but I'd not say no. Alternatively go and poach Nixon from Leicestershire
Not seen any of those from Ghfd lately . Thought he would've made the effort on s SundayYes, points deduction right at the end of the season... not a food look
True but it’s all a bit swift , just as a winner takes all game is starting.Leics were on a suspended sentence because of their misdemeanours of a few years back so they can hardly complain.
Was a lovely dinner as well. Chicken with a selection of home grown veg.Not seen any of those from Ghfd lately . Thought he would've made the effort on s Sunday
My only "complaint" is how quickly the ECB acted... Meanwhile they're still dithering with Yorkshire who have had no punishment and ironically benefit from this decisionLeics were on a suspended sentence because of their misdemeanours of a few years back so they can hardly complain.
They are not blameless but Yorkshire have suffered nowt in comparison for all their carry onLeicestershire where completely out of order against Durham in that T20 match last season at their place.
They kicked us when we were down qThey are not blameless but Yorkshire have suffered nowt in comparison for all their carry on
even had a test last week. It all smacks of favouritism towards them. They get a money spinner QF
we were bloody docked points for financial stuff, removal of tests, prize money withheld , relegated
Yorkshire so far, sweet fanny adams
Colin Graves. All those things Durham were punished with , were a nice help to yorkshire . They got the tests, we were out of that seasons with the points off before it started so that therefore raised yorkshires chances and we got relegated, when we had a competitive team, so less threat to yorkshire in that decisionThey kicked us when we were down q
Graves knew that we were in direct competition with Yorkshire for staging rights for tests in the NE. He had a financial interest in Yorkshire CCC -independent Grave trust my @rse. i still don’t know how Graves was allowed to do those decisions, when yorkshire were in more debt and he was keeping them afloat
never mind the racism stuff, which occured whilst he was around yorkshire
i will never accept what the did to Durham was not to try and close the club altogether and where would northern lads go? Yorkshire most likely. They already get the likes of stokes and Potts in the 100 at headingley
More should have been of it. It’s like Klopp issuing point deductions to city or United. Would not be allowed.Graves knew that we were in direct competition with Yorkshire for staging rights for tests in the NE. Bent as a nine bob note.
Scab.Rumoured that Dan Christian is due to appear at a disciplinary hearing at Notts FA on an ungentlemanly conduct charge
Nixon is a good shout. Leicestershire have improved immensely in T20 as the T20 campaign has progressed. Pretty sure he and his family are still based in Cumbria.
Find it quite amusing that Franklin gets slagged of something rotten yet people would go for a coach that is winless and doing even worse than us in four day formatScab.
He isn’t, at all.
Folks have short memories but the Nixon link to the story is interesting. Leicestershire were a four day force around the time T20 came into existence but they put their eggs in that basket and became T20 specialists in no time at all and with Nixon at the forefront we’re a formidable outfit in that format. However, their four day cricket declined considerably and let’s face it, they’ve never recovered - we, on the other hand, prioritised four day cricket and the rest, as they say, is history.
Keep your T20 specialists, do whatever it takes to get Collingwood or Benkenstein and if that still isn’t enough, consider giving it to someone else.

Franklin' interviewed by Marty after defeat. Usual talk of players hurting and that they have to find a way to get better at this format. A bit of talk about the new Aussie and options for the 50 over comp.
Marty to be fair did mention supporters not being happy about the results in the T20.
Worth watching on YouTube to me it seemed both appeared to know it's coming to an end.
You can log this entry and if he rucks up for the university game in March 2023 you can give me some stick.
Nixon was mentioned as an option purely as a T20 coach, a specialist where he's been successful both here and abroad. 8 wins out of 14 is spectacularly successful compared to Durham's record.Find it quite amusing that Franklin gets slagged of something rotten yet people would go for a coach that is winless and doing even worse than us in four day format
When mentioned him generally not just as T20 coachNixon was mentioned as an option purely as a T20 coach, a specialist where he's been successful both here and abroad. 8 wins out of 14 is spectacularly successful compared to Durham's record.
All speculation anyway- can't imagine Franklin is going anywhere unless it's of his own volition.
I just finished Mark Wagh's 'Pavilion To Crease and Back' book which is basically the ex Warwicks and Notts batsman's diary of the 2008 season. I was reading it mainly to learn his take on the final Championship game of the season when Notts fell away spectacularly against Hampshire while we of course beat Kent to clinch out first title.Yorkshire getting through to the quarter finals reminded me of the time they were due to play us several years ago and got kicked out for fielding an ineligible player.
I didn't realise though that the player in question was Azeem Rafiq.
Also was this incident in Graves memory when he decided to punish us I wonder.
