They aren't the richest club in the world. They have the richest owners. They think PIF have set aside all their money to spend on them. They haven't.
The assumption has to be though that for the fullest sportswashing PIF are going to pile money into to get as much exposure as possible, which means building towards playing in the CL latter stages or the European Super League when it inevitably happens?

Do you think the creme de la creme will move to Newcastle over the North West and London?

For the spoilt millionaire Newcastle is a shit place to live. If it wasn't Sting Ant n Dec etc would all still spend large amounts of time there

Not sure, money talks, decent players are going to Villa. I agree the NE isn’t particularly attractive to put it politely.

Money talks though as Botman has shown (appreciate he isn’t a world class player but it looks like Newcastle forced it).

Edit; I almost see players who have huge potential but aren’t quite there yet, seeing Newcastle as a stepping stone. I think Botman, Gameries and Ekitike all in that bracket. None will likely be at Newcastle in 3 years.

Pretty much I think. The question will be whether the current gap between the current top four and the rest of the league is already too wide, and it becomes pretty much unbridgeable.

May as well move them to Rhiadh. Probably more plastic Saudi Mags over there to attend. They're already Saudi United.

Yes decent not top class.

Botman played with Fonte in the French league. He's not been tested at a truly high level. He's played champions league football but so did Djimi Traore.

They still haven't signed a big name player in their prime.

Admittedly I'm not really up to speed with the Premier League these days as I don't take as much interest when we're not in it but Chelsea were hopeless after Xmas and finished a comfortable 3rd, Spurs are hitty missy and finished 4th amd Arsenal aren't exactly World Beaters and just missed out on 4th.

There's only 2 really good teams in ot from what I can tell.

As a player you have very few years to make your dough and very few teams can pay 125k+ p/w. Four in Spain, a couple in Germany, a few in Italy, 1 in France but most of the Prem. Botman/Bruno will have had huge increases on what they were earning. They will therefore be able to attract players that aren't wanted by the 10 or so elite European teams and if they get to a level where they are winning things they may attract the elite...who knows. But that isn't easy - Pep was back and forth looking at schools for his boys, Liverpool and Everton both moved training bases so players could live in South Manchester. It is not impossible and players moved to China and the arse end of Russia for money before!

I think that Christian Erickson would change my thoughts but still the lure of Man Utd will trump Newcastle. He is world class and would open eyes.

Being so hated will eventually get the better of them and their insecurities. It's just nice to know we knew they were scum and very easy to hate long before it became fashionable.
Actually really looking forward to being hated. It's much more preferable to being appreciated for never trying to be good and handing over 3 points most weeks without a fight.
