AS must have been reading my comments on here. For a club the last thing you want is the same 50k turning up every week. Selling 9k on a match by match basis is commercially very savvy as that is more different fans coming and potentially spending in the club shop.

Liverpool did exactly the same and borrowed the idea from NFL where for some an NFL game will be a once a season treat. They pacified the locals with the handful of tickets to L postcodes (surprised mags didn't do the same) and sold a ton of tickets to Thomas Cook to get as many different people in the club shop each week.

Also, the more season tickets you sell the increased likelihood of touts getting them. Anyone with some cash, who had the right to buy would be stupid not get one if the could as they could sell it on and get the money back easily (if the team are successful which all mags seem to think is the case).

Mag at work doesn't go to games but is full of them told me Botmans better than VVD. He also says that they've signed the best English keeper in Pope.
 
So some Newcastle shirts have been sent out but Castore forgot to put the sponsor on it…..
