Racism at Yorkshire CCC

Really? He doesn’t want to be defined by allegations, so he doesn’t address them….
It’s an interesting line to take. Similar to Johnson and ethics. Two resignations do don’t bother appointing anyone else

Problem solved

As for gm’s. It’s a laughable attempt to get bites and then bannings

It’s a very poor statement and woe is me

Agreed. The bloke denies any wrongdoing but it seems folk (some of them on here) have decided he must be guilty just because Rafiq has said he is.
Not at all. Do you really think that the actions taken so far prove that something did go on?

Nothing should be done rafiq ignored, all those sacked reinstated and on we go

Nothing to see here guv. Thank you
Makes him sound guilty as hell
And Inside forward, this is from a Yorkshire fan

You'd think he'd be desperate to engage to clear his name in that case

One who disliked the bloke immensely before all this mind

Exactly. That comment is why the problem will continue to be treat as nothing

The actions of Yorkshire the club itself shows they knew things were not right

But the patriots love a statement like that

So be it but to say well done, good statement is laughable.

Basically saying I’m saying nowt is gale. If he had a good case, it needs shouting from the rooftops

But no
I disagree. It’s a really weak statement. He’s denying and walking away from a serious allegation. And expecting that to be it
Works for the pm. This is how things are these days

Sorry officer, I’ve been sacked so I murdered the boss but I’m no longer partaking in the investigation

Good statement, well done.

Yes,Gale complains about his side of the story hasn't been heard yet when he is offered to do so he refuses to cooperate. Even so, a lot of that statement counters Rafiq's claims. Gale certainly appears to have heavily influenced Rafiq getting a 2nd chance.
Hope Gale was careful about what was on the menu when he invited Rafiq around for dinner.

Gale really needs to be shouting from the roof tops as that statement is just a bit meh

If he has done nothing, why not air those views?

Yup. Sounds like he can't be arsed to engage with the ECB and I don't blame him for that. He's basically said people can make their own minds up. ECB have made a massive mess of all this and I'd have absolutely no confidence engaging with them. I back him 100%.
Still doesn’t really say though if he believes he has done nothing wrong, he should be shouting it out not backing away

How can the ECB charge someone with bringing the game into disrepute without investigating? I don't know the answer to this but have the ECB put the same charge on Rafiq for his anti-Semitic stuff? (Genuinely curious). It just reads as though Gale has absolutely no faith in the ECB and I can see where he's coming from. It's all been handled appallingly, no "winners" in all of this.

If the FTECB investigate how can they make a decision if Gale does not speak in his defence?

The FTECB of the time this occurred was Colin Graves who has said nowt but tried to destroy Durham

Now he is trying the trump defence of witch hunt

No I’m not having good statement well done, if I’m accused of this, I would be on every outlet giving my side of the story not clamming up

It’s like a murderer going no comment answer

They've already made a decision by charging him bringing the game into disrepute all at the same time he's won an unfair dismissal case from his employer. If the fella has no faith in them, I don't think it's unreasonable for him to not want to engage with them.
Also worth noting Gale has been cleared twice l, once by a law firm and the other an independent panel.... ECB charged him without investigating
Also worth noting Gale had offered to meet the ECB previously but they decided against it yet charged him.....
"Lord Patel saw fit to place Azeem on a pedestal and immediately lost face as Azeem's anti-Semitic language came into the public domain" - this is a good part of his statement.
