In theory yes, in reality the money is coming from PIF back into Newcastle without it counting towards FFP. So over 5 years they’ve got an extra £37.5m to spend on players without it counting towards FFP. Tip of the iceberg the same will happen with a shirt sponsor next season but for a much larger sum of money.Ok so I get that there is now a fair market price assessment on advertising deals to prevent piss taking but is this that much different to Ashley using SJP to advertise Sports Direct?
