I lived in Washington when my kids were in the juniors so got offers all of the time to go to SOL. Graduation day from was also there with Bally giving the same speech every year 😀
Good on you getting her to support your team, would be nothing worse than a son/daughter following your rivals 😀

I think the only reason Everton’s turnover is higher is due to very shady commercial income to do with naming rights etc. I’m guessing the mags will be adopting a similar approach with various lucrative sponsorships / partnerships with Middle Eastern companies

You finished 10th the season you won it you daft knacker 😂

You only got a place because 2 or 3 cities already had a participant and the stupid rules were only one team per city.

This was before the UEFA cup which was a proper European trophy actually based on the best teams.

Wasn't it invitation based on who was holding a trade fair that year? Nothing to do with merit at all?

Done to death Keith however.... We gained entry because the rules allowed it. We did not write the rules.
UEFA Cup was based upon the rules of entry specific to that competition.
We also, much later, gained entry to the Champions League without being Champions. Had we won that i assume it would have been discounted on this basis?
