I expect both city and Liverpool to win every game they have left. Back in the day you’d expect 3 or 4 twists or turns.Apart from City and Liverpool (maybe Chelsea) the rest of the league is poor. They are that far ahead of the rest it's not funny.
Money and investment In youth recruiting, that’s why they are top and winning things.Apart from City and Liverpool (maybe Chelsea) the rest of the league is poor. They are that far ahead of the rest it's not funny.
Plenty of quality there is just too much pressure. Every single point is worth @£3 million quid.
People have been saying football isn't as good as it used to be for years. Its been on the slide for years, still criminal that we managed to get relegated considering we had the best GK outside the top 4 and a 20 goal a season striker.
An absolutely spot on post …. musically anything from 67-83’ is great, anything after gets poorer, up to not having a clue this Century. That's not correct. Man City didn't get £300m for getting 100 points.
The prize money is allocated per place.
Approximately 2 million quid to 20th place, 4 million to 19th, 6 million to 18th and so on.
Last season Man City got 38 million for winning it, added in with their equal share of the prize pot and then facility fees (number of times they're broadcast live) they ended up with 153 million.
The bottom team, Sheffield United came away with 96 million.
All clubs get 38 million equal share and then 5 million commercial revenue. The rest is made up of their share of broadcast fees and place money.

Probably just a result of getting older and enjoying it more when yoi were younger. People get jaded.
Youngsters these days in 20 years will say football isn't what it used to be. Same as music. Everybody always thinks their coming of age era was the peak of music.
Unfortunately the other 9 players were gashIts been on the slide for years, still criminal that we managed to get relegated considering we had the best GK outside the top 4 and a 20 goal a season striker.
This. Its huge. Games against city and Liverpool almost becoming pointless for the bulk of matches. Bit like the SPL when the old firm play anyone else. 7 games left and good chance Liverpool, who are 2 points off top, could win every game and still fail to win the league. That'd just utter shite.Liverpool and City beat everyone. The gap between the PL and Championship has never been bigger. They’ll push for a 16-18 team Premier League soon with U23s in the pyramid
You'll have to revise your points prediction. Gonna be nearer to 40 than 31. No different to other years. No different to previous years?
This season there is every chance that 31 or 32 points will be enough to stay up.
Contrast that with us being the first team to go down on 40 points (under Peter Reid).
But aye, it's no different...
Cockroach united vs Beetle fc.??Apart from the top 4-5 teams I've lost interest in the Premier League. I remember the days when I would always.be down the pub on a Sunday to watch the "bug game" no matter who was playing. Now I have no interest at all in Villa Vs West Ham.
I reckon about 70% of the games are boring. It's not just me, i've heard another couple of people I know say the same, switching off or turning over.Aye, course there will be games. But it's mot very often is it? You've got Liverpool and City getting 99 and 100 points each one season iirc.
Just feels like it's massively in decline. The big games still get you into it but there's so much dross like.
I know it will not happen but the football league as a whole needs salary caps of some sort. As we all know titles and success are bought and the supporters don't matter, they are only there to provide some atmosphere. That's why the top teams have so many points, they are just in a different league, so to speak, from the rest of the division. Sometimes they turn up and have a training session and still win. They just pass the ball around in a slow motion way and then provide a few minutes of class to win the game, no wonder it's boring. To be honest, I can't understand why people part with so much money to watch it.Absolutely on its arse isn't it?
I remember when we were in there and I could watch two random bottom half sides on sky and it was decent. These days it's never a decent game, quality is on the floor and boring.
Most competitive league in the world, probably aye. But there's much better entertainment in numerous European leagues.
Fed up with this 'winning' free kicks. The 'fouled' player is already on his tippy toes ready for a dramatic collapse as his knees suddenly give way almost before the opposition player gets near him. Happens in L1 games too. (Except for Stewart who isn't given a free kick even when being strangled)I agree with the poster who said that technically the football/players are top class but it doesnt always make for great entertainment. 90% of sides are playing possession based football. Get two of them on the same pitch and it can become very cat and mouse. It has become an almost non contact sport with players 'winning' free kicks so it has become very difficult for teams to win the ball back from teams full of technically gifted players who are also adept at drawing 'fouls'. Man City - who are seen as a blueprint for success - are the classic example. Grealish, Sterling, Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus are wonderful technical footballers but they are also all quick to hit the deck. I could think of very few things less appealing than a season ticket at The Etihad. At times watching PL football can be like watching a game of chess, which never really took off as a spectator sport.
100% agree. The rules and the way they are applied have totally changed the game. Players know they get free kicks for the slightest little thing and they exploit it. They try to draw fouls and yellow cards which are given now for next to nothing. It has completely changed the way the game is played.Fed up with this 'winning' free kicks.
