Is it just me, whos excited to see what our test squad looks like if they pick players on form. Genuine opportunity for 2-3 places. Even probably a spot in the bowling department spin and seam too

I expect the squad to look different but lots depends on the new coach.

A few younger players putting their hand up in CC. Haines, Bracey, Duckett, Bohannon and Brook showing promise with the bat. Critchley, Patterson-White, James and Thompson look genuine all-round prospects. Bowling-wise, Fisher, Mahmood and Cook should all be around the Test squad. Parkinson surely deserves a stint as our no 1 spinner.

The talent is there.

Cricketers like him never get picked for England, its an interesting idea pciking an all rounder who can bat at 6 and bows 75mph or so

Colin de Grandhomme was brilliant for NZ in the period they won the test championship

Robson out for 16. Stream hopping and I saw his dismissal. LBW falling over which was a common fault when he lost his place years ago.

He's the best opener to watch for me, always used to get to 50 before you could blink

I think the disapointment for me for England was that he didnt play his natural game, I think initially you have to give that ago

He did OK relatively though, averaged what 3 runs less than Burns?
