Its mad to think that they broke the world record like whilst trying to buy the league, yet conveniently forget when criticising man city or Chelsea.

Shows how much the Mags overpaid.
Not sure about that like. They invested in a top quality striker, who wasn't even at his peak years. They paid a premium but was a sound investment, as much as it pained me at the time.

For all he is a mag, I actually don't mind Shearer. Always been fair with SAFC, when we used to be on MOTD (during the halcyon days. :()

222million 😂. Almost double what city bid for Kane. Fuck off man. The athletic is like a Mag propaganda leaflet. Utter horse shit

He was phenomenal until his first serious injury at the Mags under Dogleash. Then he went right off the boil till Sir Bobby sorted him out. He was class again albeit as a different type of player but at that stage he was behind the likes of Henry, Van Nistlerooy, Rooney, Drogba.
RVN was not better than Shearer

Another person who doesn’t get the point of the article

Thank you!

I look at it another way - that they outspent everyone for many years, when there was only Man Utd and Arsenal as challengers, and still won zilch.

RVN was not better than Shearer

It is not the point of the article but as you mention it, it must be close.

Similar international record (RVN: 35 in 70 v AS: 30 in 63). RVN has 5 titles across three countries AS has 1.

But RVN win's in the manager stakes 32.3% win rate versus 12.5% - and zero relegation's for RVN :)
