If you’re talking about UK sanctions HMG are dragging their feet. There is an LNG tanker due Grain on 6th loaded with Russian gas as well, still time to divert it though.

unless they can hit the subs and all bases at the same time from my understanding MAD and comes into play and we will launch a reply, plus I think we can detect the launch if not the missiles>?

But that’s the thing there is no guarantee of peace. Russia wanting to shell their homes and hospitals and schools isn’t doing it because they want to unite Ukraine in peaceful bliss…it is conquer and rule.

You appear to have this belief that surrender means you live happily ever after. It could quite easily mean oppression and misery and

This is correct. Nobody has said this invasion isn't political it obviously is. They just want the petty political point scoring keeping off the thread. Sadly once it was merged with the one on the politics forum that became impossible. They've tried to ruin what was a decent thread, which has some good opinions and links. We don't need the brexit and Johnson is a shithouse stuff here. Start another thread, on the politics forum.

There's supposed to be a protocol that both countries signed up to regarding nukes but if you think you may just have a tactical advantage and if your name is Vladamir Putin then maybe that agreement is no longer worth the paper it's written on. That article posted earlier on here by Fiona Hill in Politico was a very interesting and sobering read.

We didn't build Naval ships so that would not be a target I guess. However, when Doxford International opened, the Teleport was one of only three in W Europe, the others being in London and Paris. I'd bet my balls that would be a target. Not sure what current status is and Google don't reveal much.

As things stand that's probably the best hope the world has. Those who step in to fill the vacuum can claim they never wanted the invasion, it can be rolled back, reparations made and a new understanding reached between Russia and the West. A nice slug of Pollonium in his vodka should do it, although rumours are he's not a well man as things stand.

Most the women and kids are gone. This type of thing has gone on since the dawn of man. It’s in people nature to defend themselves and their families. There were people fought in WW1 for Germany and executed iduring WW2 for being disabled or Jewish. If they occupy who’s to say they wouldn’t kill you anyway. You wouldn’t keep your mouth shut if you hated the regime and you could end up dead over it and so could your family. If you defend your current regime in the first place you could end up winning. They won’t accept a Putin puppet and eventually they’ll have to say enough is enough.

That's probably the best scenario for ending this. He'll be very well protected though.
