All the stop gaps we have in place as a non conflict alternative to war always seem to end up with I hope we don't push Putin too far. It all boils down to the fact that Putin is a war mongering c**t who would rather kill his own people and lay the world to waste that to damage is own ego and lose. He absolutely has to go, how is a different matter. Still believe it has to come from inside Russia, but the more I read there doesn't seem to be a lot of appetite for this. I don't blame the population, they are normal people, who in large pockets, are are probably brainwashed with state media and actual media blackouts (not to mention the consequences or being arrested for protesting). I blame his generals, just kill the old t**t.

We could do with the pressure being ramped up on the government on this - we know they'll cave and do a u-turn if that happens (they've form for it) but it needs to be as soon as possible.

Mind, I haven't seen any of the rounds of minister interviews this morning so maybe some pressure is already being applied?

Just to correct you we don’t actually have an army anymore, the amount of troops we have categorises it as a militia. Frankly their volume of troops is about 5x that of ours and we could probably put up a fight but would need outside support

All there weapons/tanks are old, the army is nowhere near ours in terms of training ,most just young lads with a gun thrown in there hand ,yes there will be a few good units but nowhere near what we have ,same as the airforce we would blow them out the sky ,Putin knows his only trump card is the nuclear threat.
Take that away and he's knackered.

I've just had a quick look at the super yachts moored in Monaco right now.

I'll believe the EU (and the UK) are turning the screw on the Oligarchs when they start seizing vessels like the Quantum Blue which is sitting in Monaco at the moment and owned by Russian Oligarch Sergey Galitsky
And Avanguard ii owned by Cyril Minovalov CEO of the russian Avangard bank

Until then it's just talk
