Not really any need for em given that us & France have em and given strategic nature of them it's hardly needed to have them to hand.

As Russias plans are proceding very slow with lots of resistance i think Putin will get frustrated and start with the big attacks big bombs/ missiles even on residential areas,he doesnt want this going on for months and he knows Nato's hands are tied and if they do do something its WW3 so he will just flatten Ukraine ,the man is a maniac .
The slim hope is we get a lot more arms and weapons to the Ukraine and the sanctions start to hurt ,but i'm afraid all i can see atm is Ukraine being flattened and major casualties.( I pray for a miracle and this not to happen).

If it was army v army/ airforce v airforce the U.K alone could take the Russians out but its the Russian Nuclear weapons that are the problem.

China on Monday reiterated its opposition to what it called “illegal and unilateral” sanction” on Russia amid Moscow launching war in Ukraine.

“China does not approve sanctions to resolve problems,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin, as reported by Chinese public broadcaster CGTN.

He said Beijing “has always opposed unilateral sanctions above international law.”

Beijing’s reiteration of its stance came as Russia’s attack on Ukraine entered its fifth day on Monday, triggering international condemnation with barrage of sanctions on Moscow, including blocking access to the SWIFT international banking system.

“China asks all sides to show restraint to avoid exacerbating Russia-Ukraine tensions,” Wang said.

China opposed sanctions on Russia on Friday, a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a military operation against Ukraine.

“China opposes any illegal sanctions that harm Russia’s legitimate rights and interests,” Wang had told a news conference in Beijing.

“The US has imposed more than 100 sanctions on Russia since 2011, but this is not a fundamental and effective means to solve the problem,” he said.
 
He was "winging it" from the moment that Ukrainian lass started talking. Respect to him for that but he talked waffle after a few minutes. He nearly went back to address her question about why we won't create a no-fly zone but then got distracted. He continued to waffle after that.

NATO are also guilty in all of this. they've denied Ukraine becoming a member haven't they. for years.

Not doubting what you say in the slightest, but I was under the impression our army/airforce would be tiny in comparison to Russia's? Not really based on much like.

I emailed my mp for the first time ever to voice my support for allowing Ukrainians in even if they don't have family ties, amazing we even have to think about it, it should be a given. Would happily give up my spare room tbh, get some details announced and let people help ffs
