You get the feeling some of the Russian's Generals heads may soon be rolling. Really does not seem like the ruskies are meeting their objectives so far. Ukrainians are fighting hard and smart by the looks of it, making the Russians overextend supply lines and leaving their special forces and paratroopers fairly isolated. I personally hope for either a ceasefire to stop this stupid invasion or if that is not possible, the Ukrainians to make this costly for the Russians. The hit to Russian prestige and their confidence in the Russian armed forces puts alot of pressure on Putin.

I’m no military expert but I suspect we are supplying and supporting the Ukraine military in a covert way.
 
The motivations of the soldiers within Kiev could now play a huge part in the out come. This is a feature that doesn't seem to get much coverage but you can imagine the resolve of a fighter protecting his family compared to one who doesn't understand why they are there or one that is just carrying out orders with nothing to gain.

I think they also have a period of mandatory service for youngsters. May have been caught in that at the worst possible time! Probably a student last year!

Putin needs stopping at the farthest away place, saving the lives of Ukrainians and others in Europe in the process.
For me sanctions may not have to be troops on the ground yet but air strikes should be on the agenda.

Don’t disagree that sanctions should be harsher but that won’t have an immediate impact, it certainly won’t stop the invasion. The only really impactful option is to provide proper military support but that’s an enormous, and terrifying, decision. Air strikes would also put us at war with Russia.
