I want to believe it but it wouldnt be hard to have a satnav in a tank seeing as phones etc have access to google maps

obviously ww2 was different but even in this day and age a tank driver coming to a crossroads where his sat nav says go one way and the road sign says go another has a choice to make

if the yanks haven't turned gps off of course

I dont think Ukraine can win, without help on the ground.

but I am also optimistic they can force a stalemate and get Putin to a table to talk peace, they have to hang on, I guess Putin thought rush in and it would be all over while we slept and its gone to shit for him. Longer it goes on the more chance it becomes a stalemate and gives the Ukraine a chance to salvage something.

I have a new found respect for Ukraine.

They will be gifted some canny weapons tbh, hopefully they have folks there that know how to use them

and very very potent as is the Javelin, they be doing some hellish damage and slowing the Russians for sure, the Stingers from Latvia/Lithuania and the Drones from Turkey are also very handy altho the Russian Pantsyr-S1M ground to air missile/gun system will likely be able to take the drones out with impunity as it's recently been upgraded with hypersonic armament..

In an idea world Ukraine would have enough AirPower to keep Russia out, but once you know every thing flying above you is enemy you can shoot with with impunity.

I was in an armoured regiment, our light tanks had less ground pressure per square foot than an adult human.

They are vulnerable though ‘if’ you have the right weapons.

No country is truly innocent. Almost every country in the developed world has some history of invasion, war, slavery, violence, oppression and genocide. Britain included.

That doesn't take anything away from the fact that in a modern Europe, Russia is the unstable power and the oppressor.

Their fighting spirit has been amazing, can you imagine Putin hanging around if he was being surrounded, he'd be off like a shot unlike the Ukrainian president who is as brave and inspirational as they come. His spirit has certainly rubbed off on the Ukrainian people who have been immense.

I think the West should have called Putin's bluff and put troops in. I think he's playing on the 'insane leader might trigger a nuclear holocaust' card.
