Clinging to hope here, but lots of stuff on twitter about Russian supply lines and troops invading houses looking for food and clothes. I pray this is true.

posted another twitter link earlier which said that russian troops currently still stationed across the border in russia don't have any food so you can image what the supply chains into the ukraine will be like...

a lot of conscripts sell their food, fuel and other equipment on the black market as the pay is shite.

The maintenance and upkeep of them requires minimal tools and skills too. Broken stock: just carve a new one.

Swift banking system the immediate one. The German spokesman last update was that the west shouldn’t make any rash decisions atm regarding the banking, rash decisions? It would be ironic of them to not see the similarities between Putin and Hitler.
Putin needs stopping at the farthest away place, saving the lives of Ukrainians and others in Europe in the process.
For me sanctions may not have to be troops on the ground yet but air strikes should be on the agenda.
Putin is not going to stop at Ukraine.

The west are definitely at fault. Ukraine have offered to go completely neutral, to neither be pro-NATO or be pro-USSR but have asked the west for protections from influence from the latter which have been ignored.

It's like talking to a girl to only be friendzoned.

Doesn't have to be about sending in troops though. Seems it's taken a long time to get equipment there. There's still reluctance to cut Russia off from Swift. Coming out that sanctions don't include energy deals (with the definition of energy being as wide ranging as wood) and countries asking for exceptions for luxury items. Too many people trying to look after themselves.
