FFS, let hope the west really pressurise that absolute c**t and Ukraine give them war mongering twats a right bloody nose.

Germany's response will be interesting, with the new pipe line.

The situation is getting worse but Biden is gaffe prone so don't be quick to take him at his word.

The Russians are also playing a misinformation game which involves creating multiple narratives at once to make it difficult to predict what they do next, trying to instill the element of surprise.

Damn, I thought it would happen Monday. Oh well. Nutjob hardman kills millions here we come.
Have the collaborators started collaborating yet?

It will be tough for Putin. The Ukrainian armed forces are no mugs. They have been preparing for this for a decade and have pretty decent numbers of troops and equipment.

It’s also considerably harder to try and win and hold territory then it is to defend it. Add in that the West and NATO will give Ukraine a production line of endless supplies of advanced weapons if it does finally kick off and the longer it goes on and the more protracted it gets the harder it will be for Putin.

Sadly I can see that being to the detriment of Ukraine with Putin looking for a quick victory (Of whatever it is he is actually trying to accomplish) and probably using overwhelming force including against civilian areas to achieve it. He isn’t going to want to send his troops into towns and cities with entrenched resistance without carpet bombing them first

Anyone who wants to understand Putins influences, this 1997 book is key:

The Ukrainians May as well kick it off themselves. If it’s as good as confirmed that Russia are just days away from potentially levelling Kiev May as well grasp the initiative and hit the assembly areas before Russia finalises preparations. Going to be hellishly more difficult once that equipment fans out and is protected by air defences…

Said tongue in cheek
