WOW. Not seen us this season other than at Gillingham. Didn’t realise just how poor that side is. No leaders or captains on the pitch, some very, very average players, and absolutely no desire at all.

However, what really struck home to me was how accepting of it the club and the crowd now are. 38k there but no fire from the players, no passion from the coaches, and.no atmosphere from the fans. At the end of the game most people were walking out chatting and joking, not a hint of anger or surprise by what had happened.

We are in every sense of the word a League One club, with League One players, and we expect to regularly lose to other League One clubs. But worse than that, the players, coaches and fans seem to have totally accepted it, and on today’s evidence none of us seem to be too bothered about it.

After today, I don’t see how that side will possibly achieve promotion. So on the one hand I now don’t think Keane is the man for the job as it needs a 2-3 year proper rebuild under a top young coach. But on the other hand I think Keane is the only man that has a chance of even starting to pull us out of the malaise we are in.

Really poor result and rubbish at times but not as bad as some making out.74% possession, 22 efforts on goal, perfect goal disallowed. 9 out of ten times we win. Still plenty to criticise but feels so much worse because of the positivity going in to the game.
No. We came out half hearted, half paced and half arsed. Against a team bottom and who’d been hammered 5-0 at home in their last game, we then gifted a goal to a team bereft of confidence - pathetic by coaches and players.

Maybe better second half, but by then the damage was done. All the stats you want, but it was pathetic.

Mind I did think their was moments that suggested if someone could actually set up a team we have some players.

Today’s set up looked a loyalty to Johnson team to me. That formation with those players does not work. Not sure it gets the best out of a single player who started

He's not the worst player at the club though, he's becoming a scapegoat as its becoming popular as he can be frustrating.

None of them kept possession well, so why pick out one?

I'm saying he showed for it, carried it and put in 3 or 4 decent crosses, that's all, but that's pretty much more than almost anyone else and yet he's the one getting shit. Doesn't sit right with me.

Could get rid of them all for me barring one or two - most of them are shit, but making out Gooch was worse than others is f***ing nonsense.
You’re wasting your time here mate. Last year the cry was “Anyone but Burge.” He was the sole reason we didn’t get promoted last year. This year it’s Gooch. Once this board latches on to a player they won’t let go.
Anyone but Burge turned out to be Hoffmann and he looks shaken at best. Gooch is not our issue. The inability to organize a solid defending side is.

I'd say Dan Neil and embleton are our two worst players at the moment. Absolutely vanish in games. Neil needs sold asap while we can still get decent wedge for him.
Neil needs a rest and to be played in a system with a partner that suits him. He’s hung out to dry with no leadership Embleton + Pritchard doesn’t work. Both should have been taken out of the team. But not cause either are crap or don’t have a futures here

We’ll, just got back.

As soon as they scored we didn’t have a clue. Flat lines, no movement, midfield totally missing and no one showing for the ball.

Cirkin and Neil need a rest and Embleton isnt a wide player.

They both should have started instead of Embleton and Neil who’ve needed dropping for a month now at least.
Neil's being hoyed about like a corn dolly game after game now, you can see why LJ didn't select him last season. EE looks like he hasn't a clue where he's supposed to be playing. Our defence is an even bigger mess. The new centre half must be stood wondering where the left side is and what role Winchester is supposed to be playing. Just to ensure we're a total clip from back to front we push our centre forward out wide for huge swathes of the game. The players need to understand their roles, know what the core demands of their jobs are. At the moment they look totally and completely lost.

Why? They’ve been brought in to create some sort of young dynamic team, U23 players from the premier league added to a few older lads with a point to prove. It hasn’t worked. It’s disjointed, lack of experience of the league and level has killed us. Well that and a complete lack of cohesive tactics and game management. It’s an utter shambles, not of the players doing. To a man they look lost, dazed and confused and gradually devoid of all confidence. Speakman is to blame for this. He’s a man with a very bad plan.
Think he might be a bullshitter judging by his interview before the game....My question is...Supposing Mr Ego Speakman's model doesn't work? Then what? Think we're doomed ....

I’ve never felt this angry. Even after the 6-0 drubbing. Totally lost our way as a football club. 40k fans in league one. Yes fans don’t make a team, but we have fallen much further than two divisions. Feels like the heart has been ripped from the club

The team selection was a disgrace. They had all week to come up with that. One of the worst decisions ever seen at this football club to pick at 11. Gooch, Neil and Evans should’ve been absolutely nowhere near that team today. And should be nowhere near it Tuesday.
