Next Cadenhead release:

Hazelburn 16yo : £105.00

Tennessee 18yo : £125.00

Bunnhabhain 8yo : £49.00

Glentauchers-Glenlivet 10yo : £53.00

Tomatin 12yo : £60.00

Knockdhu 11yo : £56.50
How was your tasting then? Anything stand out from the crowd? I was quite intrigued by the Brechin 1976 (year I was born) Read up a bit on the distillery apparently a tesco on top of it now

Took a second plunge on Fine Drams.

Last time charged VAT and handling fee. No excise duty which didn’t seem right.

This order £495 and they’re wanting VAT of £148, Duty of £164 and £24 handling fee 😳
£336 on top of the £496

Balls to that

Simply no point in ordering from abroad value wise

Christ on a bike. I’ve only ordered single bottles from different places, charges have ranged from 0 to 23% but it’s been very random.

Was watching with interest to see how this one worked out for you. They do offer some cracking prices but it doesn’t seem viable now for UK buyers.

Aye the ship has well and truly sailed, before brexit ( not that I ever think they were doing it right duty wise) was stupidly cheap.

Wish I’d really stocked up on some of the staples ( 105 litre bottles and the Arran finishes)

Takes an age for the refund as well.
Going to have a pop through Tynemouth shop at some point to have a mooch and might try and nab a Springbank or two ( not that that will be easy) when released.

As you say very random…last order no duty charged.
These weren’t overly expensive bottles, I think the most expensive was a Glenallachie CS at £65.
The Arran port wood for example now goes from £30 at checkout to £52 with all costs added

Looks like the Springbank/KK release will be on Monday. I see North Star have a new brand too, South Star Spirits. Time to register domains for the other compass points!
Given the Fine Drams episode I will turn attention to try and nab a Springbank or KK...
As many have said on here there is plenty of good stuff about if not 👍

Be interesting to see how the South Star is priced, given NS generally good value
