It's on the outskirts of Ottawa Jeff, it's a bit bigger than the average Tesco extra, I went in to get some bits of archery equipment

The odds of me entering a store that sells alcohol is exceedingly slim, I am 110% teetotal, but I did pass a large alcohol store yesterday, I can't remember the name though, I will keep my eye out for one thoughHave you every been in a BevMo? It's the alcohol equivalent, a huge store with every kind of well-priced alcohol you could imagine. Those two stores side-by-side would cover a weekly shop.
I got an external view when I passed a few days ago so you can see the size of the store.Where is that shop?
Yes, that photo was taken from Cam Loch, a good day will result in 60 to 80 fish to the boat, typical wild Brownies up to 1lb, also has Char and I'm told some really big Trout.Suilven in rh pic . Cabela's often have some great offers, I bought a Fly rod Blank from them a few years ago and it's my favourite River rod, also a really nice fly reel that I lost one day after we came off Cam Loch, went back when I discovered I had left it but it was gone.I got an external view when I passed a few days ago so you can see the size of the store.

It's black friday in a couple of days, I will be in there for the sale, I will grab a pic of the fly selectionI have a selection of Flies from a BC fly swap I organised a few years ago, the flies are totally different from UK flies
Davie Mcphail's videos are brilliant, whenever I want a new pattern his youtube page is now my first point of call, the things I've learnt from him have helped me over the years, I saw a video of his fly tying room yesterday and I thought I had a lot of materials until I saw what he has.I tie my own flies during winter it’s a really relaxing thing to do and you can tie a full spring/summers worth of flies.
There are some great youtube lads who do “how to“ videos
Davie Mcphail is very good. Good video and clear instructions.
If your an ardent fly tier may I recommend a book called The Feather Thief, a book on the length some tiers go to for the perfect fly, fantastically written, just an incredible book in general.Davie Mcphail's videos are brilliant, whenever I want a new pattern his youtube page is now my first point of call, the things I've learnt from him have helped me over the years, I saw a video of his fly tying room yesterday and I thought I had a lot of materials until I saw what he has.
I have a pal who is a pro-tier for Partridge and Semperfli, he showed me all sorts of tricks.
I will have a look and maybe add it to my Christmas list, I have a couple of hundred fishing and tying books I'm going through George Barron's book "At the end of the line" right now, Stan Headley's books are good too.If your an ardent fly tier may I recommend a book called The Feather Thief, a book on the length some tiers go to for the perfect fly, fantastically written, just an incredible book in general.
