I'm not talking about the media, I'm talking about Emery himself saying those words.
Any idea?

No fragile ego here. And I'm going to be a Newcastle fan and supporter regardless of what happens, as long as the club is always a Newcastle United football club.
As for rewriting history.
What exactly does that mean? Going back to early 1900's or the 50's?

Lots of managers turn clubs down for various reasons. We are no different.

He'll get all the time he needs from the fans if he sets the team up to play football and fight for the club.
What the owners decide is another matter.
However, if he fails to get a tune out of players or follows the same route then he'll obviously get it in the neck like most managers would, apart from Rafa who seems to come to Newcastle with magic love cologne all over him.
Emery gave a press conference about it you complete goon. You're just making shit up minute by minute, if Howe turns you down you will be back on here telling us how the latest candidate is a master stroke and is actually the perfect fit. Like the previous 5 were all the perfect fit too.

Nail on the head marra.

Aye mate, a school in Hertfordshire is teaching a class of kids in about the Saudi Newcastle takeover :lol::lol:
Not teaching, discussing. Unlike life in the toon kids aren’t brain washed and are allowed to form their own opinions. What’s up, the tag of being the most despised club in England not sitting well with you precious lot? Should have thought of that before you threw yourselves on bended knee to the Saudis and the Premier League.

They have discussed the situation in Israel previously, when it was in the news. Each day in form they will take 15 minutes to discuss items that are in the media spotlight, with the form tutor picking what the topic will be. They did it during lockdown and it was quite interesting to listen to. Yesterday was Newcastle’s turn, much to the delight of my Sunderland supporting daughter. For once the whole class was in agreement that Saudi, what they get up to and the takeover are just wrong.
Righto. Let's say this discussion did in fact take place. Did they talk about the Saudi investment in other clubs, or just Newcastle? I have no time whatsoever for KSA and wish they hadn't bought us. No ifs, no buts, no excuses. What gets me is the holier than thou attitude of other clubs. People in glass houses and all that.

I honestly think EH is on a hiding to nothing and if he doesn’t over achieve the spotlight will be on him.
He doesn't need to overachieve, just achieve something which is a squad that believes in his ways and a set up that produces better football for the relegation fight.
This squad is good enough to fight its corner and finish a few places above relegation of the fight starts now.
If he offers turgid football or sets up to be cannon fodder then naturally he'll come under massive criticism.
But that's all football clubs, not just us.
A big name would be insulated by former successes, which EH doesn’t have. RB took them down but is still loved because of former glories.
Rafa was still loved because Mike Ashley was despised, nothing more than that.
Anything Rafa done was down to Ashley not backing him or whatever. But Rafa had a fortune to spend and blew it because the man is all about Rafa and a pretence of a love for the club's he manages.
The fans will say all they want is a team that tries, plays football etc. but that is bullshit as they have been blinded by the oft mentioned 300bn.

Of course fans will be blinded by massive money. Any fans would be thinking big with that potential.
But the crux is, all fans, not just Newcastle fans, want a team that tries and gives 100% and a manager that can make that happen on top of coaching into them, better football.
Time will tell but I really don't think EH will be hear at Easter.
I think he will.
If we get relegated he's going to be kept as long as he appears to know what he's doing.
I think he'll get us out of relegation, personally. I think we'll finish around 14th by the seasons end but only time will tell and I don't have a crystal ball and nor does anyone. At least one that tells the future.

I hope the Saudis go away but they wont as it will only be fans and certain journalists who will keep sending reminders out. What I do know is that their human rights wont improve and I'm pretty certain there will be a Saudi linked terrorist attack again. Now hard as it seems, just imagine that .

For me I wouldn't have had Bruce gone. I'd have kept him till the seasons end, relegated or not.
If I had to hazard a guess I'd say Graham Jones appears to be more of the problem than Bruce but certain fans hate Bruce more for his Sunderland management than anything else.

blah blah blah.
Incredible.

We’ve had mags trying to convince us that they’re happy with Howe, despite being vocal about wanting Mourinho, Conte, Emery etc

We’ve had mags saying that Howe was actually their preferred choice anyway

We’ve even had mags saying that were never really a big fan of Rafa

But saying that you would have preferred to keep Bruce in place? That takes the biscuit.

You lot could lie straight in bed.

Can you show me it or tell me how to see this press conference where he says he turned us down because we don't have a plan?

Could well be.

Or they were caught unawares with the speed of the takeover after the dithering of the FA. Maybe.

That's entirely up to you how you want to perceive Newcastle fans.

We'll only know the truth when the truth comes out.
Every man and his dog knew that it wouldn't be approved until the piracy issue was sorted out. Surprise surprise that once it was the takeover was approved.

That means that only your new owners knew when the takeover would go through as it relied upon them resoving the issue. Try again mate
