So if Ashley and the Saudis had did things EXACTLY the same the fans would have been happy with the Saudis way but not Ashley’s. Any idea how dense that is ?
I'm not arguing for the Saudi's doing things the exact same way as Ashley.
What are you talking about?

In many respects the mags "created" him....he is a reflection of the traits many of them have

That may be correct. Hopefully it's not and they've just basically watched everything unfold.
Because you have to assume they've been scrutinising the club and the fans every second of the day to gauge the feeling of what's in store when they take over.

Newcastle United football club will not be an easy transition for many reasons as it stands due to everything involved with it.
If I had to stick my neck out I'd say the Howe decision is a bit of good sense because it covers all angles as it stands.

It saves a big name from potentially getting destroyed if the big name didn't hit the ground running and potentially shying away any other potentials in future.
It offers the fans a realistic acceptance of where we are as a club, at this point in time.
It also offers a cheap managerial position compared to the big names which means it also offers a simple bread and butter mindset to fighting relegation and even a potential same mindset in the event of being relegated to getting back up immediately.

If relegation is avoided by the seasons end then the owners could sack Howe and pay him off with a small compensation package and get in a big name with cash on the hip.

You could look at it two ways/

Is it bad ownership or it it a bit of clever management of the situation.
We're soon going to find that out.
1. I'd say thay've want to appease the fans, that's key to sports washing and it seems to be working with the deluded amongst you. The fact that they've had 18 months to prepare for this and not have a manager lined up would suggest that they have no footballing nouse.

2. Realistic? Toon fans? you're having a laugh aren't you?

3. Watching eveyrting unfold it would appear to be option 1. Leak news of Emery, rumours of other managers and end up with Howe? can't see that being too clever. Oh and paying Bruce 6 million to leave :D

Can't be arsed to look but it was all over the media ffs.

I'm not talking about the media, I'm talking about Emery himself saying those words.
Any idea?
You lot just instantly want to re-write history to soothe your fragile egos.

No fragile ego here. And I'm going to be a Newcastle fan and supporter regardless of what happens, as long as the club is always a Newcastle United football club.
As for rewriting history.
What exactly does that mean? Going back to early 1900's or the 50's?
Conte, Emery and others have turned it down, Howe is 5th choice.

Lots of managers turn clubs down for various reasons. We are no different.
Because he's not a big name like the adored Waiter he will get no time from your fans.
He'll get all the time he needs from the fans if he sets the team up to play football and fight for the club.
What the owners decide is another matter.
However, if he fails to get a tune out of players or follows the same route then he'll obviously get it in the neck like most managers would, apart from Rafa who seems to come to Newcastle with magic love cologne all over him.

Oops not happy with Martin Samuels article today. Can’t handle the truth

An invite to the Embassy beckons for Martin Samuel.

"We're having a BBQ, come along. Bring your own meat, Martin. The stronger smelling the better. Lamb or maybe venison. Pork would have been ideal but thats out unfortunately."

I honestly think EH is on a hiding to nothing and if he doesn’t over achieve the spotlight will be on him. A big name would be insulated by former successes, which EH doesn’t have. RB took them down but is still loved because of former glories.

The fans will say all they want is a team that tries, plays football etc. but that is bullshit as they have been blinded by the oft mentioned 300bn.

Time will tell but I really don't think EH will be hear at Easter.

1. I'd say thay've want to appease the fans, that's key to sports washing and it seems to be working with the deluded amongst you.

Could well be.
The fact that they've had 18 months to prepare for this and not have a manager lined up would suggest that they have no footballing nouse.
Or they were caught unawares with the speed of the takeover after the dithering of the FA. Maybe.
2. Realistic? Toon fans? you're having a laugh aren't you?
That's entirely up to you how you want to perceive Newcastle fans.
3. Watching eveyrting unfold it would appear to be option 1. Leak news of Emery, rumours of other managers and end up with Howe? can't see that being too clever. Oh and paying Bruce 6 million to leave :D
We'll only know the truth when the truth comes out.

This is brilliant every foreign manager they are linked with twitter is full of Newcastle fans dissecting their tactics as though they are Gary Neville on MNF and saying what a brilliant coach they are when they haven’t got a fcking clue, then they turn them down and another manager is linked and rinse and repeat  . Fact is Newcastle are shite now any decent manager will wait until they are actually decent before taking the job.
Craig Hopeless hahahaha
