The mental thing is they gave her 10% of the club, might not be easy to get rid. Still don't understand why they didn't just buy 100% of the club and appoint someone good to run it. Why let Staveley and the reubens get 20% between them?
So they could actually buy the club I would imagine. 100% probably would’ve been stopped.

But if the PL are happy (because money) that PIF aren't controlled by the Saudi state, they'd have no reason to fail them even at 100%. I'd need @Grumpy Old Man to confirm but I'm sure at 80% they've pretty much got complete control anyway, at which point if they'd fail 100% they'd have to fail 80%. If right, it makes me wonder why get the others involved at all

But if they start to invest then AS and RB's will need to match the owner equity else be watered down. So if they inject 100m has AS got 10m to inject. Over time they will be 100% owners and having AS/RB as partners was strictly strategic.

The reality is, info is being leaked to them and therefore from a professional point of view, it makes sense for them to remain close to the new owners.
Yes I understand that but where do they draw the line then, if Saddam Hussain had given them insider access should they have allowed themselves to become the blushing bride to the levels they have with the Saudis?

They're sports reporter and they have a job to do but that doesn't require becomne part of the evil dictators propaganda machine.

His "excellency" indeed, Bork...

The thing is he isn't he's a really nice bloke and the fact he's got his tongue so far up the Saudis arse is a stain on his reputation.

Same for sky sports keef a nice lad who's principles have been set aside to benefit with access, obviously not suggesting either one should quit their job and lose their income but there really is no need for them to be the mouthpiece of the Saudis.
They are morally corrupt and calling them professional journalists is absolutely laughable.

Nice blokes don’t support people whom murder those from their own profession, throw gays off buildings and bomb innocent families and children’s schools (in the Yemen) and who treat women like pieces of shit.

Get real. A lot of local media people and serving politicians, Newcastle Council leaders etc. have shown themselves up to be hypocrites of the highest order in their sycophantic, misguided and arrogant support for one of the most awful, hideous regimes in the world.
