Drones

There was something really weird in the sky earlier today, it was like a chemtrail going straight up through the cloud then it just ended. It was right over the Sunderland area. Other sightings have been actually been reported in other countries too. Looked really strange never seen anything like it before, the white trail it left was about the same size of an airliner trail but its direction and visibility made no sense as it pointed straight up into space then just stopped.
You let a whole joint burn away?

How you finding it?, im torn between a mini 2 or waiting for the mini 3 to come out, next month apparently…
I'm not really experienced with drones to be worth much comment but I love it. The battery flies down in the wind but it's steadier than I thought it would be.

Had a panic when it lost signal about 1km away but I think that was the helicopter. Flew it longer from the same place today.

Any good for seeing in the fit neighbour's bedroom window?

Any drone owners on here? I’m a videographer and currently a bit Donald Ducked due to this virus so have just bought a Mavic Air 2 which is on its way from Chyy-na as we speak. Hoping to make some money with some “very” remote videos. Got a couple of jobs with property developers lined up and wracking my brain to think of some other industry’s that may be interested.
On its way from China, May 2020. Has it arrived yet?

Had the first mavic air a while back and i was amazed at the technology in it and how easy it was to fly. Only about 20mins air time though. The newer models can only be better and iirc the mini series is around 30 mins, more than enough, id be going for the fly more package anyway, so some spare batteries. Have you registered with the CAA?

News channels
Race events, foot and two and 4 wheels ?
Country hotels, pubs for short location adverts
Structural engineers
I'd imagine many already have people

I hadn't until I read this. I thought I didn't need to until I did some more reading after you asked.
Done it this morning, and got an Operator ID.

You need a flyer ID too

£9 I think
Its confusing as some say you need both and some say only one. Under 250g, is it if it has a camera you need both, if no cam only one?

Better to be safe as the police would like nothing better than to confiscate it. See above im not sure of the rules myself. When i had my air a couple if years ago i just flew it with nothing.

Probably best sticking your phone number on it to, incase you lose it. I will be doing so when i get mine.

Aye it was confusing. Like I said I thought I didn't need to but after you mentioned I did some more reading.
The need for Flyer ID seems to be based on weight. Putting the propellor guards on a Mini 2 might make it a different class and require Flyer ID?
Operator ID seems to be for anything that isn't a toy and has a camera.
