Top fishingLike all these kinds of lists, very conservative, lowest common denominator wins.
Nice to see Belle And Sebastian in there though (I only very recently realised they are probably bigger over there than in the UK)
Correct. Radiohead are f***ing brilliant. They have been my favourite band since The Bends although I'd have In Rainbows #1. Incredible albumAccording to Pitchfork readers

What's the Pitchfork demographic ?Might well be the biggest online music magazine around these days. Has reasonable coverage but does slant to a particular Pitchforky demographic.
Merriweather Post Pavilion being in the top twenty best albums of the last quarter century feels like peak Pitchfork.
I don't think I could explain it better than by pointing at the top 200 and saying that. What's the Pitchfork demographic ?
Can’t be arsed looking through all that but Avril must be there surely?

I have 58 owned on vinyl or cd, looks like a good list to me. There's lots on there I will eventually get round to buying I think. I definitely need to get out more. There's a music review and rating website called rate your music that I use to research albums before I buy them, which has a list of the top 5000 albums as rated by reviewers. I've discovered loads of interesting stuff from there.I own 31 of those albums. This is becoming a relic of the past as people are far less interested in 'owning' CDs, records etc. Can't help feeling that people's enjoyment of music will become more superficial.
