Durham v Northants (a) C C.

Just saw this latest Div 2 table on ESPN;

1) How do they manage to have us bottom? Is this the ECB directive - stop Durham at all costs.

2) What was the outcome of the Durham v Surrey cancellation. Were any points awarded?

According to the table on BBC Sport we are 2nd behind Essex. But it says we have played 2, W1, L1. Will take someone cleverer than me to explain that one!

The BBC points and places make sense to me:
Essex P3 Pts 62 = average of 20.67
Durham P2 Pts 28 = average 14.00
Northants P3 Pts 41 = average 13.67
Gloucs P3 Pts 34 = average 11.33
Surrey P2 Pts 18 = average 9.00
Glamorgan P3 Pts 16.5 = average 5.50

The ‘lost 1‘ entry refers to the Essex games that we played in the Group Stage.

Even the ECBs own tables aren’t correct! They seem to have reset everything to zero since last week. Chaos!

In answer to both, we will not get any points for that game, instead our (and Surrey’s) final total will be based on a PPG average.

We lost to Essex. The games against the county you came into the ‘division’ with count as half in this ‘phase’ of the competition. We lost both games to Essex, so two halves make a whole defeat - if you follow? If you don’t, look at the other tables. There are teams with half a win or half a loss lurking about.

100 lead :cool:

Well I’d never have worked that out.
Lead now 152. Trevaskis just got to 5O no.

Motoring now. Imagine if you were a Northampton fan and logged on to see we'd put on 100+ for the 9th wicket. :lol:
