To categorically say they won’t score 500 is writing them off last I checked?im not writing them off they just won’t score 500
If we got 400 and they got 450 we wouldn't be chasing 150So we can make 400 but they can’t make 450, despite some of the players they have that have a proven record of making massive scores, and ours are Bairstow, Jos, Mo, Burns, etc.?
I would rate their chances at around 1 to 2%Only a fool would write off players like kohli, Sharma, rahane and Rahul entirely mind.
Barstow was understandable for his dismissal as it was how he was playing.people being harsh here the batsman tying to get quick runs. You take risks, it happens
disappointing but no alarm

128. Not far off. If we get 400, no reason they can’t make 472 either. Extend for all numbers in the universe as clearly you need it spelt outIf we got 400 and they got 450 we wouldn't be chasing 150
So you are saying that they can make 500? Or writing off their chances as non-existent?no it’s not
Same. But always possibleI would rate their chances at around 1 to 2%
Yeah he does.That. Is. Dogshit
I know he does in white ball stuff, does he in red ball?
Games in the bag
They aren't getting near 500Why even create the opportunity for the opposition to get back into the game with hit and giggle cricket from the tail end? You're lauding for players getting out "trying to score quick runs" but there was absolutely no need for them to do this. From 350/3 on day two on a flat wicket conventional wisdom says you bat sensibly for 500+ declaration on a worn wicket not give the opposition three days and a viable wicket to try and recover the situation. It's test cricket, just bat sensibly
Yep there's another needless wicket after playing well.10 minutes till the close, brainless cricket man

He’s scoring quick runs so can’t complain when it goes wrong iircNow that is stupid
I’m not lauding them like but most on here Moan about strike rate then Moan when people get out

What’s with the hypocrisy? Can’t criticise Jonny but you do for Sam despite the same thing happening for each?oh give it a rest will you mate, for once
You can never write anything off in cricket but a third innings score of 450 right now would be a huge push anyone know the highest third innings score in England ?Or you bat time and the pitch becomes harder to bat on and makes our lives easier bowling them out too. Could easily have kept going till lunch tomorrow and had them 450 behind and giving us absolutely no chance of losing the game or even putting an ounce of pressure on us.
It probably won’t matter. But it could, and we could look very stupid come Sunday.
This isn’t really a third innings given the time in the game. It’s a day 3/4 pitch at headingley and it’ll get easier to bat before day 5 gets harderYou can never write anything off in cricket but a third innings score of 450 right now would be a huge push anyone know the highest third innings score in England ?
