England v India (Third Test) Headingley

I’m not lauding them like but most on here Moan about strike rate then Moan when people get out
I don't recall anyone moaning about the strike rate of the tail end, just Sibley failing to kick on after seeing off the new ball.

However positive the overall match situation 65/5 since Malan got out is dogshit.

I agree like

just bat normally

I’m just making The point that a lot of people some times want the perfect world of attacking shots without wickets

I must admit while slightly disappointed at one or two shots I would find it hard to find ‘dogshit’ to describe any part of a 344 first innings lead tbf.

they haven’t all thrown wicket away like, it’s not as simplistic as that is it. We lack killer instinct and putting our foot down when on top mind

today is a good example

This isn’t really a third innings given the time in the game. It’s a day 3/4 pitch at headingley and it’ll get easier to bat before day 5 gets harder
Day three though as you said they already need 450 if we were bowled out now to post over a 100 lead

England’s lowest chase in the 4th was 87 in 1909

guys, is there any need for this stuff? I’m just debating cricket sensibly

people just look for fights with me sometimes for no reason! I’d like other people’s perspectives on this post!
No there isn’t. TM is one of the most clueless posters on here. I just try to tolerate him but it is hard.

Then read the post you're replying to as I made it perfectly clear I'm referring to the 65/5 not the previous 350, nor the bowling, which was excellent test cricket.

Good day

I think it’s a missed opportunity for some players but I think it will have no bearing on the match

India rallied well

India’s highest second innings score in England was 429 in 1979 when Gavasker scored 200.
So that means even if they scored that they would be 84 runs ahead as it is now

Hard task to get a big lead for then I will take my hats off to them if they set us a big total or even set us a total at all
