Wrestling - Part 3

The fiend stuff was great. Just Vince doesn’t know how to, or want to give the fans proper entrainment anymore.
It was great up until Goldberg burying him in the sands of Saudi Arabia he could never come back from that, like many talent who are there weekly getting beat by a guy who’s there once every six months, Bray always had good characters the problem was creative ruined him before he even got started with the Fiend.
This is a big reason why I shit on weekly wwe tv they release the people who can create good story’s and wrestle (if given the chance) and bring back part timers like Goldberg, Cena (to a lesser extent), f***ing Eva Marie it’s terrible.

Wonder if its to do with Luke Harper? 🤔
He's been struggling for ages, mentally, hasn't he?

Hope he gets the rest and support he needs.

They NEVER let him go over in any fued from day one.

Bloody hell, got to feel for Wyatt, they’ve took the piss with him for years, never put him over once.

Just reading there Vince is claiming in a shareholders meeting AEW is not the same level of competition as WCW and then journalists are reporting they’ve been contacted by WWE to write more stories on the dominos/Pizza cutter incident.

Nothing like WCW though, so he’s right. WCW had the history (Jim Crockett, Georgia Championship wrestling)

Clearing the decks for a sale
you see I would agree and I know it’s been a discussion but then you remember they are bringing The Rock, Cena, Goldberg, probably Lesnar and more part timers back who will be on crazy coin so I don’t think it is about a sale.

He’s right in saying it isn’t like WCW but he’s clueless if he doesn’t see them as competition especially with Punk and Danielson going there although I guess Vince sees wwe as a entertainment company when Tony Khan sees AEW as a wrestling company.

I have slight suspicion it's a red herring from a big return somewhere, it's a tactic WWE have done in the past.

But at the same time it's been well documented he's been struggling with mental health issues due to Brodie Lee's passing - He didn't want to turn up at WM but did it anyways hence the long break before that - In that case I hope he looks after himself.

Not really. The returns could be WWE showing the potential new owners how the legends can draw them money
He’s wrong about them not being competition.
He’s not. WWE are such a global franchise, they’ll never have competition

Goldberg gets $2 milllion for 2 appearances a year, the rock probably be getting 10, legends can only be around for so long at this rate there will be no legends in the future as they aren’t making stars and keep bringing back past stars.

That’s what I mean. Rolling out those names are gonna bring eyeballs to the product, and potentially new buyers

You say it will bring eyeballs but it’s not worth the money they’ve been doing it for years it gets viewers up by a couple 100,000 then when they go so does the audience.

Kind of related, find it amusing the story of Margot Robbie's ex having so much wrestling merch, she recalled sleeping in the same room as a John Cena cut out.

Wrestling fans supposedly fat spotty virgins with horrendous BO, yet here was a John Cena mark that was nuts deep into Harley Quinn on the regular.
I kind of know him and that is utter bollocks.

Le Mans has history but try telling that to most of the F1 fans on the SMB. We know how much history means to some.

But history certainly seemed to matter little to
Eric Bischoff and Ted Turner. The great company you spoke of was flushed down the bog and handed to mercenaries. AEW certainly will never go down that road.

AEW weirdly are getting why people love wrestling, it's becoming a concert with the great music (jericho, moxley, jungle boy) and much to nerdlinger Meltzer's chagrin, blood sells. They're making it a scripted UFC and it's phenomenonal. Like boxing, ufc etc only a limited amount of 'hardcores' enjoy the 'sport', it's all about characters and story.
