Checked the forecast the other Friday, left at 8.00 am Saturday morning , in Keswick for just before 10.00am , left about 6.30pm back in Le Fatfield Riviera 8.30 pm

Make an effort man woman man.
I live 5 hours drive away man man man!

Ashness bridge > Watendlath > Rosthwaite > Castle Crag > Grange > Lodore Falls > Ashness bridge , is a favourite of mine.

Unfortunately the climb from Lodore back up to Ashness bridge isn’t a favourite of the dragon, been threatened with divorce over the years on the climb back up.
You’ve mentioned all of my favourite places there.Stumbled across Surprise View and Watendlath when I was about sixteen. Camped at the farm just above Ashness Bridge. Returned year after year, it’s a special place.

When you walk up from AB towards SV , there was a minging old bungalow on the right hand side of the road just before the cattle grid , it’s been there as long as I can remember.

Walked past last week and some has knocked it down and has built a stunning house in its place, I’d post a picture if I had a clue how to do it.

As kids we spent a lot of time in Newlands and someone did something similar with The Purple House.

Love the Dales. Have stayed there for a week a couple of times and never got bored. Beautiful, friendly, good pubs and food - it's brilliant.

Usually do Aysgarth/Leyburn/Hawes/Masham/Castle Bolton but there's Skipton, Settle, Horton in Ribblesdale and god knows how many places I've not discovered.

Love the northern / western lakes , dislike the southern lakes intensely.

We were at Malham Cove in Yorkshire on Saturday for the day anywhere round there is very nice , a week might be a stretch like.
Enjoyed my week in the south few years back. Good for access to the west coast and Wasdale etc which are a trek if based higher up
