I tell you what for someone who has a reputation as abit of a twat, his loyalty, pride and commitment to play for this club has never come in question. Not many players show the same loyalty these days. Especially when a previous manager bombed him out.

Bit simplistic, he missed more than half of one season because of a hapless fuck wit in charge and then missed a few month of last season because of that fuck wit. Not saying we'd have been promoted but in amongst that 3 seasons a championship club took him on loan.

Statistically, we've won more games in League 1 without McGeady (46%), than we have with him (44.8%).

We've won 1.76 PPG without McGeady, and 1.705 with him.

Admittedly it's quite tight, but statistically we have been better off without him. He's certainly not the be all and end all that people make him out to be.

When we went down he said he felt like it was up to him to help get the club back up after being part of that horrendous relegation side. Really hope we can do it before he hangs his boots up. He's had plenty of reason to leave but he has stuck by the club and it clearly means something to him.
