It’s nothing to do with this discussion, I think we’re all firmly in agreement about the ECB/Durham discussion.

whatever the ECB did to Durham has no bearing whatsoever on whether this is a good or a bad decision

My instinct is still to give the benefit of the doubt, and that's just based on my own journey through life, but some of them are definitely worse than I thought.

I just fail to see what else the ECB could do tbh. Cant just forget about it on the back of a apology. They have to do something. A suspension while a investigation takes place seems fair course of action to take imo

Nobody "has" to do anything. An apology and perhaps a bit of charity work with underprivileged youth would be a better way of dealing with it.

I was referring to the racism row involving the umpires and the ECB............ maybe someone should investigate the ECB. This takes the pressure off the ECB nicely, they'll be happy

Completely get that. I think he will end up missing a single test. And then we can move on. Which when you consider the number of tests certain players are missing due to the IPL….oh let’s not go there
