What happens when the Queen kicks the bucket?

It'll be canny bad, not so much personally for us all but the country will feel in limbo until the new King is crowned and at the loss of the worlds longest serving monarch etc,

It'll be a massive historical shift, that's for sure
I'm sure i heard that Hull city and Peterborough afc would be docked 5 points each, them being staunch republican cities. Arnly right annarl.

Ahem. Kingston upon Hull.
Yes, can't stand the royals there!

Will all shops have to stay closed, work stop pubs stay closed and every one put a flag up?
Massive issues on multiple levels I feel. Especially the way social media is. People just waiting to take advantage and stir up trouble. Will be a very bad time

I think Roger should shut this place down until a week after the funeral.

I think HM will get a very over the top response from the Establishment and stuff will be stopped and shut and certain people will howl like banshees about it.

But this will be the last time it will be old school National Mourning. IMHO.

They don't have the self awareness to understand this.

That said, all this pomp and ceremony is one of the good things about being British.

If The Queen dies in Balmoral the coffin will be put on the Royal Train and head down the East Coast Main Line to London. People are expected to throw flowers at the train at level crossings and stations and so a second train will follow behind to pick the flowers up. Amazing attention to details by the Royal lads and lasses there.

didn't realise this. will i be reimbursed for my time off work? and will the state provide the flowers?
