Benidorm

Only been once. I was stopping down the coast in Alicante and thought I would pop up for the day to have a look about. Had a wander around, a few €1 beers and then got the train back.

There are some nice places around Benidorm but I wouldn't choose to stop there. Mind you, I know some people who go every year and love it.

Sounds dreadful mate . For far too long I was stupid enough to believe all the bad things I read and heard about the Spanish resorts . We now have a place of our own over there but not in a resort . My mate has a place in Benelmadina which many people like to slag off . Yeah, the centre isn't for old gits like me but the posh end where he lives is fantastic . There's nee dog shit on the beaches 'cos dogs aren't allowed and the authorities do prosecute . The whole place is spotlessly clean with the bins emptied and the streets and beaches swept every night and the drains perfumed anarl . I can't think of one restaurant in the whole of Sunderland that would get a place in the top 10 over there . I prefer where my place is but there's nowt wrong with Benelmadina . Unless you're a mindless snob .
Precisely, marra.

It's like here. If you want "the centre", it's there, of course, but there's so much more to places like here and Benalmadena than just p*ssed up brits.
There was a lass called ‘Dirty Barbara’ when i was there..we were told she was Sticky Vickys daughter..apparently she lived up to her act!!
She isn't sticky Vicki's daughter and I'm not quite sure what you mean by "lived up to her act" but she's a lovely, very happily married woman who just happens to pull things out of her chuff for a living.

No offence meant..all just hearsay..😅

Sexy Barbara used to drag lads up & suck them off.

Do you do bars or hotels or both mate? Is it a good earner in normal circumstances? Sorry I am a nosey kernt.
Just noticed this second bit, marra.

I'll never be rich but live very confortably.

I work around 12 to 14 hours a week, over a five day week and the missus does 4 hours, most weeks.

I would say that, for that, we get a little more than the national average wage in the UK, between us, for less than a combined 20 hour week.

It certainly works for us.

Not too keen on Benalmadena as it's too hilly. Personally, I prefer Fuengirola for a cheap no hassle few days in the sun. I used to go to Fuengy 2 or 3 times a year and a few bars there became virtual second homes to me.

Done Benidorm with our lass year after year. Mar-May and with the lads Nov. Always had/have a great time but like Blackpool but better. (Bit of a shit tip in daylight, canny when the bright lights are on) wouldn’t touch summer months though.

I wasn’t keen on Benelmadena like..went to 24 hour square (i think it’s called that)..not impressed..Fuengirola is canny but the bars are along the front and it’s git long..lovely beaches like..i liked Torremolinos down there..bit more laid back..nice atmosphere in San Miguel square.

Do NOT go to Malaga specifically Benamaldena

Why not ?
Went there for years on golf trips and always loved it.
The square is a bit rowdy but you can’t fault the marina with all the bars and eateries down there

Did you not drink down the Marina ?
We also stayed a couple of years in Fuengirola and you were constantly watching your back for people trying to rob you

The best bars in Fuengirola are a couple of streets back from the front. Also gets you away from the Looky Looky men.

I once walked all of the way from Fuengirola through Benelmadena to Torremolinos along the promenade then took the train back. It's about 12 miles in total but took all day as I stopped off at a bar every mile or so.

I was along the Torreblanca end (think that’s it’s name) was Tennis courts right outside the hotel..it’s a lovely front to stroll along like.

Yes mate, you’ve missed a trick there.
The Marina is quality, it’s got some proper Spanish bars in the back streets as well that are brilliant.
There’s one right on the corner of the Marina which serves beer in frozen glasses so you just sit watching the boats bobbing up and down sipping ice cold lager. Nowt better 👍

Typical..I’m up 24 hour square nearly battling with the locals thinking ‘is this it’..😅

It's class for lads weekend on the drink. It's for the more mature/mid life crisis not the 18-30 age. If you want some action with like minded ladies there's plenty about.
I wouldn't go there on my family holiday. Its great for a wind up on the Benidorm groups too when people think they are Alan Wicker or Judith Chalmers as they go to "The Old Town"
I know the type, they’ll order paella as well the f***ing bastards

Probably the best tapas I've had in Spain was in a bar in the old town in Benidorm. It was full of Spanish office workers who'd just finished work. We were the only foreigners in there.

aye all I’m basing it off is the 24 hour square. We were there during the last World Cup when we played Sweden. The place was lawless
