I’m actually giving it a proper listen for the first time now with headphones(just had it on in the background before).FWIW, thoroughly enjoying this
It’s definitely a mash up album, but the Ramones guitar/drum track being used isn’t the one indicated in the song and I hadn’t picked up on that with it on in the background (especially with my dodgy ear) - Jammin’ Affairs for example uses the Jammin vocals, but it’s the music from “We’re a Happy Family” not “Havana Affair”.

Yes, definitely mashups - reminded me a lot of Go Home Productions stuff from several years back where he used to juxtapose odd combos to make some great stuff

That Sorry record was probably my most played of last year. Really enjoyed it, so looking forward to that.
Don't know how this panned out for you, but he's playing Back & Forth in full tomorrow night, plus covers from this album

Class, thanks for this recommendation. Listened to it twice through today, not a bad track on it. Makes me want to be at a daft festival, small stage in the sun, wearing a stupid hat and dancing like a tatey

My weekly round up of stuff I've listened to:
Ron Gallo - caught me by surprise that he had an album out. It's good, a little less obviously indie rock than previous outings.
Do Nothing - an impressive EP. One track maybe plods a little but the rest is great. A lot of their appeal is about the singer's distinctive voice and delivery style.
The Anchoress - an interesting album of modern British indie rock. Reminds me a bit of the Manics (especially on the song which James Dean Bradfield guests on, obviously).
Valerie June - soulful, cosmic Americana. It's a good album, she has quite a voice.
Israel Nash - more cosmic Americana. He enters territory generally occupied by Mercury Rev and My Morning Jacket here. Very good!
The Underground Youth - their umpteenth album. Really enjoyable, frantic quasi-goth indie-folk.
Guedra Guedra - north African (Berber) folk put tastefully over beats you'd more likely hear in a club. Pretty good.
The Cool Ghouls - retro 60s guitar pop. At it's best excellent.
Sunburned Hand Of The Man - the first official album from theis American free rock collective in 14 years. It's very good - encompasses ambient soundscapes, Beefheartian choogles and things getting a little indie-psych at times.
Witch Camp (Ghana) - a compilation really. This is a collection of songs from the residents (mostly female) of witch camps in rural Ghana. The camps are places where people accused of witchcraft can go and live in safely. It's alomst more impressive as an anthropological document than as an album. Light on instrumentation and pretty lo-fi.
Album of the week: probably Sunburned Hand Of The Man.

Think Do Nothing is a real triumph although admittedly biased with my local pride in them.
Rolex and Uber Alles the stand out tracks for me but excited to see what else they can show soon

There are new albums this week from Belle Orchestre, Chad VanGaalen, Ghots of Vroom, Jane Inc.,John Dwyer, Justin Bieber, Lana Del Rey, Lo Talker, Loretta Lynn, Middle Kids, Sting, New Bums, Janet Simpson, William Doyle, The City Champs, Fimber Bravo and Nermin Niazi.

Hardly heard of any of them. Any you can recommend that have a bit of edge to them ?
Loads of the new stuff I listen to I only get through one listen as they are to wish washy, flakey and weak.
I like WIlliam Doyle's music generally. He used to record as East India Youth. Vaguely electronic but he explores other genres.

LDR is the main one for me, even if I haven’t fully forgiven her for wearing a mesh Facemask on her book signing last summer.
I’ll probably check out John Dwyer (he is the OhSees guy yeah?), and Google makes me think I might like New Bums
That's right about John Dwyer. I'm not sure what the new album is like.
