How many European countries allow smacking of children?

I’m only asking why you think hitting a child is ok.
I don’t think ‘hitting a child is ok. Personally I’ve never smacked my son but as kids we were smacked on occasion and I don’t see a thing wrong with it. If you’re being naughty and won’t listen to your parents then a smack on the arse brings you to line. People cry on about the nanny state and how weak parents are these days then as soon as some speak out saying they smack their kids they’re grilled as monsters. It’s not like they get belted into next week, just a pat on the arse is all that’s needed to let them know to stop. I remember being smacked but I also remember I was never ever in pain from it.

I was only hit once by my fatha, no pain just a shock and I felt like a twat not listening to him

Burnt the carpet aswell, too busy watching Sesame Street when he was drying his shoe laces on the gas fire

So how do you think a nanny state could protect kids from belted into next week?

I don’t understand your question.
Did you read the op mate. It’s about countries who make it against the law to hit your kids. And the reason they do is to protect kid from being belted into next week.
Baby P was an awful read
I’m sure no matter what laws are put in place it won’t stop these types of crime as the perps are vile evil people. I’m more meaning the step from hitting a child to check them to hurting them isn’t a great leap.

That’s not a regular thing at all and vile scumbags that are capable of it won’t stop just cause the law tells them not to. The OP has been all over the thread calling people shit parents, calling posters parents shit parents. He’s acted like a complete wanker and that’s what most people have taken exception to. He literally told a poster in the thread earlier on they’d had an awful upbringing cause on a couple of occasions as kids they’d been smacked.

It’s almost like he’s trying to make himself feel better
0 by the time this thread finishes.

When it’s illegal though smacking them will be naughty as fuck

A proper cheeky smack

Which by attacking him in the way he has been attacked proves his point on hitting children ironically.
I think @monkeytassle had it right, he explained that he had tried all other forms of discipline but it failed and in fear of his daughters safety resorted to physical punishment and got no pleasure in doing so. But to just say it’s acceptable because it happened to you is totally wrong mind or it’s easier or quicker sends the wrong message out to potential parents. Parents are getting younger and need teaching properly about this kind of thing.
