Highest death rate in the world

It’s clear that this country has handled the pandemic badly, you don’t need international comparisons to see that. I don’t see why comparisons are constantly drawn between numerous countries who are all managing it badly, it’s not a competition. Our government are partly responsible for the comparisons mind, they wheeled them out early doors when our numbers looked favourable.

Hasn’t it been cleared up before that they’re also counted? If covid is on the death certificate they get counted regardless of when the test result was. @Frijj ?
I don't even look to see what mess others are in apart from my home country, eventually the world will have to come together to get us out of this mess.

Yes but the poster was on about the official figure instead of death certificates figure but you are right frijj is the one for this.

The strategy was always a balance between protecting the nations mental and physical health and the economy whilst protecting the NHS from being over whelmed.

We increase the ICU capacity so we were prepared for the winter and it look like we may come out of this soon.

Eat out to help out is looking less and less like a decent idea at the time.
that was fine, it was summer and had no effect just like the crammed beaches all summer, no masks and pubs open. If they had Eat out in October then I'd agree

Any covd death after 28 days, we also missed a load of care home deaths in the first wave as they were not tested.
1in 6 die after 28 days or close to that, west winger showed the article earlier.

The 28 days measure, is this ‘after 28 days of first test’ or ‘ after 28 days of any test’ . You would think patients in hospital will be tested quite frequently ?

Two points:
- Morgan is a gold standard twat
- the UK report deaths that other countries would put down to natural causes so you can’t make like for like comparisons
Its bollocks. Comparing countries death rates is complete nonsense. Is the number of deaths the only way of qualifying how 'well' a country has done in tackling a virus? There are so many f***ing variables. I frankly couldn't give a fuck about bloody New Zealand.

Oh so you think the government is doing a good job? Fantastic how far some will go to defend them. Amazing stuff it really is.
I don't but who do you think would have done better given the options at the time of the last election?
