To me, it seems very strange announcing a Sporting Director before an actual takeover, doesn't make sense and I very much doubt this happens in normal takeovers of clubs.

I’m not sure I understand your logic Grumps. These appointments are uninspiring at best and f***ing shit at worst and history tells us that they’re exactly the type of appointments the ‘dynamic duo’ would plump for, the f***ing arseholes. But perhaps worse still, if these are indeed the new regime’s influenced decisions, I mean, fuck me, it’s just more of the f***ing same.

You really think Donald has the brains or imagination to go down the SpD route? He wants nowt to do with us beyond a few more quid once some other people have cleaned up his mess for him.
 
The appointments show we’re still a f***ing shit show. Absolute joke we can’t get out this league. Why can’t these two bellends can’t just get out the club?

It's truly bizarre. People are literally talking about how Speakman says the opposite of Donald. Speakman says he's been given autonomy to implement the things he wants and people are saying "those things won't happen with Donald still running things". It doesn't take a genius to understand that it's not Donald's vision that is being implemented!

That seems to be pushing it, I’m all in favour of the SpD post but it’s a huge step up for the person they appointed.
Johnson seems to me the type SD would have appointed so it’s very much wait and see on both as far as I can tell.

Also find it odd that despite it seeming like Dreyfus and Satori are calling the shots (can't see Donald and Methven trying to put a structure in place) but it hasn't been announced formally yet.
