Disagree. There is a takeover but it’s obviously not ready to be announced. Donald has stepped back completely and has no further interest in the running of the club and Metheven has burned his bridges with too many supporters for him to be commenting on anything. It was obvious Rodwell was going to be the one who commented on this appointment. Doesn’t mean that Rodwell has any sort of say going forward. I’d imagine Speakman will comment on any further appointments and that’s the last we’ll hear of Rodwell et al until the next regime have moved in.

Has the young boy from Marseille been keeping a close eye on the development of Birmingham’s academy and Bristol City’s formation and set up whilst sunning himself in the south of France?

People are happy with the appointment, its more that one of CM's best mates is running the other side, if that doesn't concern you, then you've learnt nothing in the last 2 n half years

CM and Donald's influence is going nowhere

I believe gus has been in the loop for weeks at least, as has the role. That explanation doesn't add up to me.

Is it not possible though that, regardless of being 'Methven's mate' (is that confirmed?), he could actually do a job?

Not saying it's the case, just is it not possible?
 
Its more important we know who appointed him than who he is or the detail of his remit.

We dont know who sacked Parky
We dont know who decided on a new structure and who appointed this fella
We dont know who is deciding on the new manager

if SD/CM have any influence in operation of the club after the dust settles then the agony will continue

Jim Rodwell??? :lol:

No mate, he has been an absolute disaster whereever he has been, he should be nowhere near a club like Sunderland. He got the job because he is mates with CM, he isn;t remotely qualified for it.
