That was something the club asked us to host rather than it being an official WMS thing. But yes, was on the day the Campbell bid went down the toilet too.

Donald will have practically zero input. Methven will basically be commercial. The new guy and Sartori will have final say. I'm same as you mate, don't want Donald and Methven involved but it's completely out of our hands, they wont be making any decisions.

Club employees? There are not many people working at SAFC on a daily basis just now so how come so many knew Poyet had been offered the job? Simply by text, social media etc. from a particular indiscreet source?

If its all still open secret time on such an important deal I find it strange-not saying you don't know the full facts.....

I have a mutual friend with one of the owners.

On the takeover, I’ve never known who it was, just that it’s all been slow moving then more recently “done” etc. So there’s a lot less gossip then when the FPP debacle unfolded!

I think on Poyet, senior people at the club were just very confident he was coming and thought it was ok to pass on. Seemingly loads of people heard about it. I don’t know why he turned it down but he did. I’m not some fabled “Itk” or other such nonsense.

I say what I’m allowed to say but I get to know little of specific names. Despite our dislike of the current owners, there’s a modicum of professionalism about what they disclose to anyone at the moment. So I’m finding out the names of those involved in the takeover at the same time everyone else is. The only difference being is that I’ve been confident of it happening for months.

They won't be and they won't They'll be passive shareholders, holding out for geld down the line (well, Donald at least).

I understand marra. At least these rumoured appointments mean there seems to be a plan and some cohesive thinking behind the scenes.

I'm sure they'll be interviewing managerial candidates at the same time though don't worry ;)

We need them to get this one right so I'd rather wait a little longer and make sure everything comes together well.
