Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Thoughts on a petition/commitment to demand ST refunds as a group (as big as can be managed?) all at the same time unless there is a positive resolution by a given date?

I think everything should be considered/discussed, especially if it comes from our fans.
Making them struggle more financially is obviously an option. But any action would definitely take all us supporters to work and stick together.

Hard for RAWA. They’ve got people that have financial interests etc with the club, so again a double edged sword.
Well thats a red flag right away. They're supposed to represent the fans not the club. Anyone with a conflict shouldn;t be part of a supporter group. We've needed action since the end of last season and gotten nowt. This kind of explains thing but it must change or we;ll have no club soon way things are going.

Nothing that RAWA has done has been done meekly mate - two board resignations have followed meetings where RAWA stood their ground. The timing might not be to to everyone's liking I know but after the meeting was cancelled they published the Qs and expressed disappointment and will watch eagerly for an update. They have since publicly articulated that the standards on and off the pitch are not good enough and have written to the club asking for a takeover update and another meeting. When the meeting was cancelled they were disappointed but the club said a takeover was close and then immediately the French connection was leaked. So really now is the time to push again as nowt has happened and so now they are pushing. Believe me they are as frustrated and down right sick as fuck as any supporter.
Interesting substitute's comment.

Didn’t know that tbh.

I was thinking more that people become lazy and think “ah well, RAWA will do something”. Then in the same breath, anyone does try to plan anything and RAWA will be like “hold off we have something more suitable in store” which normally means meeting with the club but of course now that has gone down the pan.

Nobody from RAWA gains anything from volunteering as reps. Or certainly not that I know of.
He might be getting mixed up with podcasts/fanzines, who obviously gain extra eyes/ears, or merchandise sales.
Or branch groups who may get ticket incentives.
But everyone I know involved with any of these mainly do it through their love of the club.
for example one of their people that they have on their panel has business interests with the club.

Who?

The way things seem to be going with regards to the share split are not great. However, I don’t get how people seem adamant that CM is going have a major role with regards to decision making. We don’t know what the make up of the board will be and to suggest that someone with such a small share to be calling the shots behind the scenes just does not add up. Nixon saying what the share split is and people seem to have jumped all over it.

Just a thought, does anyone think Poyet pulled out because the takeover hasn't gone through yet? If he signed and it didn't go through he's left with dumb and dumber.

Ok cheers, I know a few of the committee are on here so would be good to hear if that’s the case and to what extent.
Have to be honest I’ve never got the impression that they have a financial interest

I hope thats the case as @Upthere comment certainly would explain a lack of action over a sustained period. It certainly wouldn't look odd to protest now would it? Need action and fast.

Over on 606 Riv reckons he's expecting some exciting news, possibly tonight.🤞

seen nothing like it,he’s gone on and on and on about how it was ffp, and how this board slated him and he’s getting all these texts and everything saying the takeovers on.

He got proved as embellishing on here. However insisted he wasn’t and has persisted with the same Billy big I know everyone and ffp are taking over.
What makes it laughable is his insistence, that if anyone challenged him, they knew nothing.

fast forward and when it’s announced that FFP have absolutely 0 to do with this new Takeover, he claims he’s been itk all along despite being wrong. He believes the fact we are being taken over justifies his shit, and anyone who challenged him should have.

He also continues to post vague shite as if he’s itk, and people are still lapping it up. All he does is post something like “I’m expecting something to happen”. Really mate, you’ve been wrong from the start.

Between him and Madbob there’s about 110 years of age, and they are both desperate to appear as itk, it’s so sad at there age.

Can’t wait to see this post pulled to bits on there. As despite slating this place he seems to know every single post more than anyone.

I wish the people who genuinely know shit would call him out on his nonsense, instead of letting him play along. It makes no sense.

Again, I disagree. Especially you making out that RAWA are accepting everything we’re told.
Personally, I think it’s been handled well so far, as has been the consensus from our supporters. And that’s what RAWA act on.
But now is definitely the time to step things up again. The club have been contacted again, and we’re currently awaiting a response.
They certainly meekly accepted it last month, whether you disagree or not. Can we cancel the meeting, yes ok.These meetings are required by EFL, it isnt just a wish
