Anyone poorly

Just done a vindaloo, gob on fire but couldnt taste it
 


I’ve been bad for a week, had a covid test as Mrs C is a nurse but came back negative. I was pretty sure it wasn’t Covid based on my symptoms but Mrs Cs ward sister recommended I take a test to clear Mrs C for work this weekend.

I am 60/40 against Covid but work means I had to test
 
I had a really bad temperature earlier in the week, i ordered a home test and just waiting for the results but I feel pretty fine now
 
Started off with a runny nose and cold symptoms yesterday afternoon and then got a minging cough later on. Tried to get a drive through test to be told the closest place was Settle near Bradford. Total joke.

My 18 month old has been coughing a fair bit too but seems alright in himself whereas I feel wiped out. I still think it's a bad cold rather than covid but had to keep the bairn off and the 5 of us are self-isolating til I can get a (hopefully negative) test.

I am!! Woken up with a high temperature, sore throat, head ache and a bit of a snotty nose. My lad had a very snotty nose on the weekend and obviously that’s where I’ve got it from.

I know most of those, other than the temperature, aren’t really the tell tale signs of COVID. No cough. I know I’ve just got a cold.

My question is, do I have to get a test and do I have to quarantine on account of the temperature alone? From what I can tell I do.
