Easyjet from Newcastle - stopped ?

You can ring them mate but be prepared to be in hold an hour , it’s a right farce , I got flights for next summer but now in no mans land , I know it’s cancelled but can’t do owt until they contact me which may not be til next spring , can’t book another one incase end up with two at same time booked 🤔

I’ve just rang and got through pretty much instantly. Useless customer service tho. Flight not cancelled as yet. Could be 30 days before flight was all she would say.

id asked if could book another seat to which she replied the flights not showing on our system to allow that.

So they won’t change it till they tell you its cancelled or you can’t be arsed yo wait? Am the same like, fkn annoying. Cheers mate.

I’d happily change it now but I’d have to
Pay a charge and the fares have gone up fair bit, I got told on phone I have to wait until it is officially cancelled , which could be 6 months yet , meanwhile they sit on my money , bordering on a scam IMO

The figures for Spain are still quite high, 7 weeks till half term, can't see Spain coming off the FCO list by then, it's not an option for us to go & then do 14 days self isolation, I've already emailed the hotel & they are ok with us moving our booking to next year if required, just waiting to see what Easy Jet do now, I've read they are contacting people 14 days before departure & offering to change flight dates? Be keeping an eye on things especially now Jet2 have cancelled the rest of the summer schedule 🤔

Cancelling everything up to March 27th next year, I heard. (At least from Newcastle and Stansted.) Then they're going to 'review' the Summer schedule.

We've flights booked for June next year - in limbo now. Daren't book alternatives with someone else in case EJ say they'll still be going ahead and we end up with two sets of flights. All they'll say is that you will get to know 'at least 30 days before your original flight dates'. Means we could be scrambling around in early/mid May next year trying to find alternative flights from anywhere and having to pay whatever extortionate prices are on offer at that time.

In the meantime, they'll have had my £1000+ in their accounts since June this year. It's just plain wrong.

Just had my deposit refunded for flights/hotel, trip to Benidorm, was meant to be next April, got the cancellation email on 28th of August so it's not taken long for them to sort that out, my mates have all had refunds aswell. I was expecting it to drag on, reading the Easy Jet messages on twatter is horrific, poor people left in limbo for months when flights have been cancelled back in April. Looks like a lot of bookings have fell through the cracks during the lockdown & haven't been processed. No wonder people with bookings for next summer are concerned & rightly so.

It was easyjet holiday packages so think they have cancelled all of them automatically as we didn't phone or anything. Still got flights next Sept that's not been cancelled yet with them.
