Used to really like Nasser, and in some ways I still do, but he's really gone downhill for me. Then again, it might just be the "grab" thing that makes me want to punch my TV screen.
Rob key is right. English batsmen/coaches are obsessed with a trigger movement like

You dont here anybody else fart on about it but the english. A lot of the time this "trigger movement" gets batsmen in trouble

Can see both sides of the argument but you're right that it's an English thing and goes back to the days of Duncan Fletcher. Don't think it's a pre-requisite that it will make a batsman do well. You'd imagine stillness to be of benefit to a batsman at point of delivery so there's not as many moving parts, but Lara used to almost jump back and across!

Catching up on this thread to sum up the Buttler stuff as it's now f***ing boring and posters should draw a line under it.

Buttler himself knows he was probably about to be dropped for Foakes. He's said as much in interviews.

He's performed excellently since then and deserves to now keep his place in India or Sri Lanka, whatever comes first if we are able to go.

Massive test for him seeing as in 26 tests as keeper he's never kept in Asia. The closest to that is he kept in 2 tests in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 2015.

Lets hope his white ball keeping in India as least gives him so idea of how he can deal with it.

I hope Jos excels and keeps his place. Like all of us should when an England player steps out onto the field.

There’s a separate thread for buttler for them on the forum.

I like Buttler and I'm glad he's now performing but he cant keep in the subcontinent. If he plays as a specialist batsman then fair enough

Indeed marra and I why I wanted to put this post on cos they can go have a little slanging match on there instead.

I've not been able to watch this morning and wanted to see the SMB take on this mornings play not read insults.

I can't see much play in the rest of the game to be honest, with showers for the rest of today. Most of tomorrow looks bad too. Might get in at 4pm tomorrow.

I'm under the impression of that too. But as he's not played a test match there you have to at least give him a chance, which he will probably get due to his performance recently

Kept 30 times for England in India and Sri Lanka in the two other formats. Plus was the keeper ahead of Indian keepers in some of his time in the IPL ahead of Sanju Samson I believe.

So they’ve fucked about for 40 minutes and now they’re going to sit and wait another 45 for a start. And you just know their precious Tea break has been factored in.

JUST f***ing GET ON WITH IT!!!
