Eventually get some time to watch and it's a rainfest.....
All four of those keepers were quite a bit better with the gloves than Jos mind, and they all improved over time. Buttler is turns 30 next week and in his career has lost the gloves at two counties, and doesn't seem to have improved his glovework at all in that time. Maybe it's a confidence thing and now that he's secure in the squad for the forseeable, he might knuckle down and sort it out. We'll see.
I would agree that they improved over time but Prior was worse when he first started. His keeping in his early tests was abysmal. His drops against WI at home were far worse than any error by Buttler in test match cricket. Prior then went on to break the world record for byes in the tour of the WI. I would agree that they did improve over time though. Buttler losing his place in the counties is also factual but as much to do with his involvement in all forms of international cricket meaning counties needed a regular keeper.
Also I don't think Buttler will improve massively as a keeper in the future - but I don't think hes that bad anyway. His selection is what it is - a moderate keeper a a hugely talented batsman. He started competently with the gloves in test matches and dropped his standards a bit in SA and had that one horrible test which he redeemed himself with the bat - which is the purpose of his selection.
