Hopefully this is the turning point. I’d love him to continue to score runs, and make me look like an arse. I think he’s fortunate he’s had so many chances

He probably is fortunate of the bare facts and stats to have so many chances, but that what selectors are they far, not necessarily just going off bare facts and stats, but sticking their neck out and saying I think he will come good, as this person has the talent and mental strength to succeed, hopefully they right

Also factor in central contracts in to buttler having a lot of chances. He is on full whack covering all the different formats.

he is in place until injured imo.

So you genuinely believe that we don’t have any player that is a better keeper than Buttler? That would take more catches than him? Think it’s widely accepted he isn’t the best keeper and the balance argument between keeping and batting is whats keeping him in the side
turning into a proper tantrum for you isnt it

“there are no keepers that will drop less catches” ergo he is the best wicket keeper we have. Ergo there are no better options.

Nobody has said there aren't any better keepers.

I'll leave you to go and cry into your pillow about Jos having a good game. Your patters lifting, you're making things up and it's ruining the match thread.

The Rat literally said that. I quoted him saying exactly that. Hence my response. I despair.

Jos has had a great test but he was rightly questioned prior to this series. Let’s not forget he’s played nearly 50 tests and the majority of which he’s not been anywhere near its best. It’s no wonder people were calling him out.

Let’s hope he keeps up this excellent form long into the future.

Fully agree with this like, I was questioning his place in the side.

Let's hope this is watershed moment and he can kick on from it, and repay the faith of the selectors.
