We’ve got three bowlers who are all pretty much the same in Anderson, Broad and Woakes so Archer MUST offer that different option with express pace here. What’s more, those three can share the bulk of the work - we’ve got to give Archer 3/4 over blasts, no more. Keep him fresh and DEMAND that he gives us everything.

Totally agree. Archer simply has to bowl quick to justify his place in the team.
 
Did I hear that right.The England players are wearing black armbands because the mother of one of the players died earlier in the month?

Agree completely. In Test Match cricket, I don't think Archer has the necessary skills to take wickets at 83-85 Mph

Yeah, I expect they're a lot closer than normal giving that they've been living in a bubble for so long.

I guess what Nasser just said about players not being released makes sense, need players around in case someone catches covid. Guess the same applies for a concussion in the current circumstances, can't just call someone in from outside the bubble.

Doesn't look good for Burns....

So no look at an angle from in front then? Very quick to come to a decision when you consider the time they took over the Root effort in the last Test.

I expect in the next half hour we’ll get an image that casts doubt on that.
 
Echoing the sentiments of others. All this nonsense about how they would rotate the bowlers. Wood plays once and gets dropped for the next 5. Broad's the only one that's been a must pick. Woakes has bowled better than Anderson for the most part, gives better balance and is chronically underbowled because of Anderson. Archer has been toothless. It's an absolute disgrace Wood hasn't played today. I'd have left Curran in the side and rotated Anderson out.
